This was aired last Saturday after the Marquez fight. Just beautiful. One of those fights I'll be very nervous while watching. I'm a bigger fan of Cotto than most would imagine... Huge fight right here.
I am not only rooting for a victory but also for a beatdown. I want to see Martinez get beaten brutally to not say something more messed up.
Let's bet your account on Cotto

Still not buying. The undercard is utter garbage.
They still trying to find Jorge Melendez an opponent.
No fault there since Yuri retired early... but it still hurts a weak undercard. They might be able to find a better opponent than Yuri since he wasn't that great to begin with
I have a trillion points for anybody that can make a gif out of the 1:01 - 1:20 part of the vid. If that's too long 1:01 - 1:13 will do just fine.
Here's the HTML5 from gfycat. Here's the link if you want it as a gif: http://gfycat.com/UnsungOccasionalLadybug#?format=gif
If Sergio is even remotely close to what he was a year ago, still looked crappy though, he should have a field day. Cotto is too undersized to fight Middleweights IMO.
I can't wait. This is one fight where I quite frankly can't give a prediction. There are so many questions to be answered surrounding Sergio's health and Cotto moving up, and we can only find out once they fight.
i feel exactly the same
what's your take on the fight?
I think cotto is gonna shock the world and ko Martinez,, there something about cotto working with roach that's special. I think if cotto gets inside consistently on Sergio he will punish Sergio like never before

When is 24/7 Cotto Martinez premiering?
HBO really has such great production. 24/7 is light years ahead of All Access IMHO
It premieres next Saturday night, with the second and final episode premiering on June 5th.

Damn I have to stop drinking :lol1:
what's your take on the fight?
I think most fans and pundits are either overrating Martinez or underrating Cotto, not sure which. Most people I've discussed the fight with are predicting Martinez via dominance, usually by either a flat out KO or some form of a TKO. In my opinion, those people are either going solely on the size advantage that Martinez has or they're expecting the Sergio Martinez who fought Paul Williams to show up and, frankly, I'm not even sure that guy exists anymore.
People forget just how awful Martinez looked against Murray. Had that fight been held anywhere else in the world, he'd have lost it...and rightfully so. Couple that with his nagging injuries and it's entirely possibly that his knee could blow the f*ck out again in the middle of the fight.
Then what?
All of that aside, I favor Martinez in this fight via UD. But not without reservation, and I damn sure wouldn't bet real money on it.
