One of the possible opponents is Mexican legend and Pacquiao's archrival Juan Manuel Marquez.
"Juan Manuel has not committed yet to the fight. I'll have the opportunity to speak with him maybe as soon as next week because I invited Juan Manuel and his wife to come to Macau so we have plenty of time to discuss it," he said.
Another possible opponent is Russian Ruslan Provodnikov.
"Ruslan is fighting on June 14 on HBO. It will be shown in the Philippines and so he is also a potential opponent," he said.
The third option comes from the roster of the best welterweights being handled by Golden Boy Promotions.
"We will see which of these welterweights have been fighting for Golden Boy or on the contract to Golden Boy that Oscar can produce. Once we learn that, we can review those fighters. It could be Amir Khan. Canelo is fighting too late. He's fighting in July. So for November, Canelo wouldn't be right. But maybe sometime next year," he said.

This comment doesn't even make any sense. You obviously don't get it. Reread the comments on this thread. Majority have no issue with this article and actually are excited about the possibilities of more matchups. These guys don't give a shit about Bob or Oscar, they obviously just want good matchups. You on the other hand, instead of showing optimism and talk boxing matchups, went straight to commenting about the promoters, instead of being excited about the potential of GB fighters fighting TR fighters. And that's why I call you a fake fan. Because any true boxing fan just wanna see the fight. So again, reread the comments int his thread, you stick out like a sore thumb.
i hope oscar pulls this off without burning his own company. not much will be resolved here if he doesn't. if you read my posts and used a little bit of comprehension then you would have gotten that. excuse me if i didn't pre-ejaculate all over this.
Coming from a guy with Marquez as an avatar. Marquez beloved trainer, Nacho, advised against Marquez fighting Khan.

Yes, back in 2010 when Khunt was considered a good fighter. :lame:
the audacity of a bandwagon pac ball washer calling anybody a fake fan of the sport...

fake fans of what? shut the f*ck up.
i'm being realistic. bob arum is a senile old c*nt on his way out. oscar is doing a commendable thing but at the same time he's been hurting the health of his business by blasting his own guys. this silly cold war won't end that way.
Lol somebody's mad

Khan is a shit fight for any top opponent at this point. The only positive thing this fight would bring would be a sign that the Cold War is coming to an end.

if canelo and mayweather can sell 2+ million ppv, manny and floyd could do three. hell, they could have done four a couple of years ago.
Both parties really dropped a bollock on that one, and when you factor in a potential rematch should the first fight be close or controversial.
pacquiao and mayweather is starting to make sense for both sides. manny is fading fast, and floyd is catching up.
i've often thought that these two would face eachother well past their respective bests, but i wasn't expecting thigns to take this long.
this is good for the sport. arum and oscar should keep their lines of communication open. even if they aren't working together every month, this is a good start.
Damn good post, NE.

:lol1: can't take ANYTHING that old dude says to the heart.....on the flip, he doesn't have one dude on his plantation who can match up with his cow and sale Units besides Marquez
I do believe him when he says he trying to butter up Marquez with a invitation to dinner in China lol....Marquez got the old dude by the pocket...the one with the millions in it!! lol
if they're FORCED to match Pac with Provo and divide the Wildcard....that would be super corny.....Marvin gonna train Provo to beat the man who made him?!?.....Marvin is gonna bite the HANDS that feeds him?!?
the whole Provo vs Pac talk is just that...talk!!....if that fight becomes reality, people will be gassed and hyped but all it's really saying is, TR hit rock bottom....friends will have to become foes for the sake of the Company instead of just leaving the sinking ship for the sake of their OWN legacy...smh...not cool!!
Khan is signed to Al Haymon as well, so why would Bob even say such f*ckery when he knows we know what their relationship is hitting for....trying sale us bs again like we're not hip to prices....old Bob and his word games...smh
