Canelo would knock him out early and easily. I am a big fan of both fighters but Canelo is a full sized very hard hitting 154 pounder who has never been off his feet in nearly 50 fights. Canelo showed in his last fight that he has improved greatly since his lost to Mayweather. He is only 23 and getting stronger and better all the time. Marquez comes into the ring weighing about 147 pounds and Canelo enters the ring weighing about 170 rock hard pounds. That is just too much size difference for even a great 40 year old to give up to a future great 23 year old.

Marquez at the same age as canelo now weighted about 122 pounds. Its a stupid fight to even suggest. Marquez is too old and too small. Canelo vs. Ward, Hopkins, Dawson, Stevenson, Froch and Golovkin make more sense but still are reaching for Canelo. He's stuck in no where land. He's too small for guys his true weight.
