top American Pundit dWYER says Froch Groves 2 is the biggest fight of the year. So why is there no sticky for this fight. its already got 188 posts in the English section....
Um maybe because jmm is p4p top 5 whereas froch and groves aren't even on the list thus making their fights unfortunately not as significant
:lol1: Give me a fuckin break.
Marquez is not TOP 4 P4P fighter, also his fight against Alvarado was nothing more than two guys coming of the losses and the final eliminator to the Pacquiao fight. Nobody but boxing fans cared about that fight.
Froch - Groves is huge in Britian and out of respect for British users it should be sticked already.
I always stay up late to watch fights from across the pond live but I didn't do that last night because I didn't care for Marquez - Alvarado.
I am no British but I can't wait for this rematch.
How is JMM vs Mike Alvarado an 'important' fight yet Froch-Groves II isn't? There's 80,000 people going to be at this fight, that alone makes it important in the boxing world. It's a spectacle.
Absolutely.
Ignore that poster; I suspect he's a bitter Andre Ward fan.
:lol1:People thinking because tickets got sold that it means it's a gigantic fight. For English fans, sure, it's big but overall it's a fight where neither fighter is at the top of their division. On top of that it's a matchup with an aging fighter(Froch) and a still unproven fighter(Groves). Good fight but not nearly the biggest fight at all. Honestly, there will be at least 10 fights bigger. For example Alvarez V Lara is a much bigger fight for the sport of boxing.
Still bitter about Froch being a PPV star, I see.

Marquez is p4p top 5? :lol1: :lol1:
There will be no fight this year that makes the sort of gate that Froch/Groves 2 is making at Wembley. The only other fight this year between the top two guys in a division was Pac/Bradley 2. None of the big fights we've had so far have been 50/50, neither is the upcoming Cotto/Martinez.
Froch v Groves 2 ticks all those boxes. It's quite easily the biggest fight of the year in any measurement of "big fights".like I said it's big but not terribly significant

Yes very exciting times. Very excited for the World Cup!
80, 000 fans going to be at Wembley for this rematch.. I do honestly believe British sports fans are the best (I am not a passionate Brit at all but I do believe this) so it should be fucking mental.
I am not German but I would say Borussia Dortmund fans are the best fans I have ever seen. Maybe when they allowed standing sections in britain they were the best. Why would they have this fight in such a large venue(besides financial reasons)? I imagine they people up top will see very little. How much are they charging for ppv? They will make a killing of this fight. Great night for British boxing.

Who's ahead of Froch and Groves at SMW?
Also, the intrigue of the fight is because of how the first fight went. That fight itself was on it's way to being a classic but got ruined by poor refereeing
I think the point of sticky threads is to prevent posters from flooding the board with thread after thread about the same fight. I only saw a few threads for this fight in the last 10 pages not counting comments threads for Boxing Scene articles.
The biggest fight in British history they are suggesting, it is a massive event.
I don't really care how it's viewed in the US; it's an all British fight, it's an 80,000 sell-out, the hype is out of this world and it's going to be an unbelievable event and atmosphere. A sticky in NSB is not required.
Cool, I will be their to. Which section are you in?
Up in the gods somewhere mate, got one of the 45 quid tickets and coach package when the remaining 20,000 where released, don't no where I'm sat cause see tickets haven't sent my ticket out yet, have they sent yours out?
Man, next 3 weeks will be awesome. First, Fonfara will upset the pimp (If anybody wants to make a bet on that fight, PM me), then George will retire that arrogant prick once and for all then Sexy will retire another arrogant prick. Not to mention World Cup is starting right after Martinez - Cotto.....
Can't wait!
Stickies are for important fights not just good fights or even most exciting figuts of the year. Unfortunately the froch groves fight is not terribly important in the boxing world
Highly anticipated rematch in front of 80,000 people with Froch's unified SMW championship of the world on the line isn't an 'important fight'? There have been stickies for less important and smaller fights than this.

As long as it's a sticky in your heart, that is all that should matter.
Yeah sound mate, i'll be there live so i'll be notifying you the next day when i get home from london ahaha.
