The Vitali fight was called off by the corner due to accumulated punishment but Vitali didn't create the same sort of conclusive ending that Stiverne did in the 6th round by separating Arreola from his senses. I don't think Vitali even put Arreola down once.
To the layman it appears as if Arreola was having some success but that was Stiverne's strategy since round 1. He wanted to counterpunch Arreola with a well-timed right hand over his loose jab - to do that you need Arreola to throw punches and create opportunities for you. It was basically a version of the rope-a-dope, risky but it paid off.
well,,,stiverne didn't stop aereolla the first time so maybe vitali would have also starched him in a rematch. either way vitali has never been regarded as a big knockout puncher like his brother anyway. he just clubs you into submission
Champ yes because technically he has a belt but legit champ? No. You don't become legitimate world champion by beating Willie Herring (13-10-3) then Chris Arreola 2x.
Vitali beat Arreola worse than that. He had no chance the entire fight.
Arreola was winning and beating up Stiverne before he got caught.
Actually upon further review Stiverne and Leapai have similar resumes once you take out the Arreola fights.

Stiverne is a legit champ. No one, including Vitali Klitschko, has beaten Arreola like that before and I couldn't see even Wladimir beating Arreola like that because he wouldn't take as many risks as Stiverne did to land that sweet counterpunch.
No he was losing... Of course after the KO he's gonna say that was his plan all along.
WTF else would he say? "I thought all was lost but landed a lucky punch"?
Boxing is boxing though, Arreola has no excuses, that was a generous ref for giving him the second count.
yea,,,I agree with that. I don't think stiverne was purposely luring him in. Ive seen him fight like that in other fights. leaning against the ropes and waiting to counter. I think chris jabbing his way in for the first 4 rounds gave stiverne problems. unfortunately for chris he forgot his jab after that and was wide open for counters
Stiverne fought to a draw with Charles Davis.
Seth Mitchell made Charles his bitch in 2 rounds.
Bermane needs to stop ducking Mayhem, the people's champ.
in fairness to stiverne he has improved steadily ever since that fight. Im still not sure he's all that good tho. I think aereolla's style was perfect for him and made him look better than he is
no. seth mitchell is the champ

is he better then the k brothers from beating arreola twice lol no bro he deserves his belt but he is not better then the k brothers tho u never know what could happen when they fight hell be heavy underdog
Did Marcos Maidana prove to you he was a welterweight champ when he beat Broner? similar principle, there are multiple champs per division, Stiverne has as a good a claim as many of them.
No, there are multiple belt holders, only 1 champ

no He was clearly losing to Arreola. If arreola wouldnt of moven hes noggin He would of been champ right now
You dont understand boxing , he wasnt clearly losing. He was clearly looking to knock Arreola out ,he knew he could and fought accordingly.
after beating arreola a second time
is he a better fighter then either of the k bros?
jeez,,,your questions are so ridiculous dude. beating a one dimensional plodder who's lost twice before like aereolla obviously doesnt make him a better fighters than the klits. its really his only impressive win
