why are people saying canelo struggled against trout?

Canelo was perceived to have thrown the more damaging punches. 1 Canelo punch= 10 trout punches.. Or so the reasoning went.

He didn't really struggle. He didn't dominate either. The fight was decided by a handful of punches. Trout was more active but nothing he did was really that effective. The open scoring killed the fight and the final scorecards were an insult. Just a forgettable fight overall. If Trout stayed on his feet it would have been a draw on my card.

Trout won that fight if one knockdown wins you a fight then sh1t, Donaire beat rigo! there we have it Rigo is a lie.

I would say struggle is a strong word, it was not an easy fight for Canelo but it is also not like he really pushed Canelo close to his limit at least that was not the impression I got during the fight. It would depend on how one defines struggling with something or someone~

i thought trout won, ive only watched it once because it was a boring fight and i dont want to put myself through that again

Did you guys not watch the fight?:ugh: Canelo only worked like the 30 last seconds per round, you can't win rounds doing almost nothing for 2 and a half minutes and then trying to steal the round in the last seconds. Trout got robbed.

It was a close fight. I think I had Trout by a point. And I bet money on Canelo to win. At least I came out a winner.

Had that fight a draw. The scorecards were already filled out before the first bell. Expect the same against Lara.

Struggle seems to suggest Trout is a garbage fighter (which he is not). Styles make fights and that style will always give a fighter like Canelo trouble.

I didn't see much struggling if any. Trout who beat the brakes off Cotto, he was showing frustration and was struggling. Canelo fought his fight and won.

Canelo won by a few rounds, especially with the KD. The hate for this kid runs deep for some reason.
