Wlad was never in the WBC rankings as Vitali had the title, Wilder worked his way up and earned his position. So he logically is the next in line. Is Wlad even ranked by the WBC now? NO!!! Sure he is the unified champion but he never showed intrest in becoming undisputed with the WBC before(i know he didnt want to fight his bother) and that is fine but he has no leg to stand on to jump over fighters who are ranked by the WBC
No, I don't know what you said before. But dear old Larry needs to make up his mind.
Here he is in defense of Hopkins bypassing IBF mando to fight Stevenson
And of course, here he is for the Heavyweight division
Larry is against and for unification...among other people here
You're one of the best posters on this forum. Green k sent.
Wlad is the #1 Recognized heavyweight in the world, if anything it's Wilder who is getting to leap from Wladimir.
Can't say Klit is too good doe.... gotta make him seem like crap while also acknowledging he's the lineal champ and the man to beat
People are entitled to their opinion. If another fight is more exciting, then that's fair enough.
But it would be nice to get one champ to all the belts, regardless of what you think of that champ.
Are you referring to my posts before?

Right on cue..it is impossible to be undisputed these days

you may be correct. I just think if you watched stivernne v aerreola-that was one of the best HWT fights in a while.
Frankly, I don't even consider stivernne a HWT champion. wlad is the champ. His getting the WBC belt or not will not make him any better or worse. I will watch the Wilder fight but Wilder is a bum and wlad will beat him anyway.
I jus want to have good HWT fights on TV again.
He's as much champion as Sakio Bika is super middleweight champion.
Not at all.
Honestly, this is hilarious now. People here got all offended when IBF said that Hopkins would have to negotiate with his mando Dudechenko/Mohamandi by July or something and people called B.S.... he should be able to unify because we want to see one champions and the belts unified.
Now the current lineal HW champ wants to fight for the WbC and unify and people be like, you can't hope past the mando! Now paper belts are as valuable as gold and worth everything in the world.

They just don't want Wlad to get it because they know he'd win it.
That and they want Wilder to have it.
This is funny that they don't care about unification now, but they'll defend pretty much every other case.
Shoulder Roll was basically defending holding the belt hostage....WTF
People here can't be serious.
Might as well save this thread just in case the IBF rules Hopkins has to defend against his mando and people complain about it

Most fans just would rather see stivernne vs other HWT's because they think it would be more exciting. People, mostly US fans, do not want to be forced to have to watch wlad in another terrible fight on TV.
Instead of just saying that, posters have to try and make what they think is a valid arguement.

even if he beats both of them before they have any solid wins on their record it would be seen as the addition to bums list.
even haye became a bum when wlad beats him, not to say povetkin, tt, chagaev..
better, lets say wilder kos fury (i doubt) and then we have a massive fight.
I don't think so.
There's a wide distance between guys like Pianeta and Leapai, to Haye, Fury, Wilder, Stiverne imo.
Of course, beating Wilder would add more to his resume, had Wilder actually managed to beat a Stiverne or Fury first (or both), but I don't think he would go down as a bum. Just what he is at the moment, which is a strong guy with a padded record.
Why would the WBC sanction a unification fight then if their rules are that they dont want a unified champ?
How exactly does Wilder getting a belt make it more likely that he fights vlad when the WBC dont allow unifications?
I never said they don't allow unification fights - they don't allow unified champs, which is why they've stripped a few of their fighters like Andre Ward for example.
So if Wilder had the WBC belt, there's a bigger chance of him getting a shot at Wlad because Wlad wants that belt. However, if Wlad takes the belt vs Stiverne, he'll most likely be stripped straight away and then Wilder will have to fight someone else for that belt.
Get it?
Well, Wilder would be the WBC mandatory. How long is Wlad allowed to keep the belt should he win it? Isn't it the WBC rule that they don't want unified champions? Wlad would also have a IBF mando, then comes the WBA mando, Fury-Chisora is a final eliminator for the WBO, then there's also the WBC.
Just saying, if Wilder beats Stiverne - the unification has a bigger chance of happening.

That would be great, but doubt it's going to happen.
But Wlad could also fight both guys.

I would really like wlad fights winner of fury-wilder, meaning these two should fight before they challenge wlad.
that way they get more experience, better man wins and wlad actually gets some credit when he beats the guy.

yeah, i know haye had valuev belt...
I dont think it's because of wlad not wanting to fight tough mandos but because the terms in that case are not the best for the opposite fighter, although lepai getting 1.5m is great imo.
Well, why would Wlad take a tough mando and pay him millions and take less himself when he can get a pianeta over, pay him not much and take more? German fans are there either way.
Yes, but leapai was also a mando.
If Vlad fights and beats Steverne, Wilder would be his mando. So the fight has a bigger possibility of happening with a unification.

Possibly because some people would find a Wilder-Wlad fight more exciting than a Stiverne-Wlad fight.
And only God knows how long it would take for the WBC to enforce a mando, or even let Wlad keep the belt - which makes that fight less likely to happen.
I get it.
