We all know Haye isn't retiring and is going to be gunning for the WBC belt as soon he he announces his next opponent so, who have you got?
I'm taking Stiverne by KO late.
Every time you hear a fighter talking about retiring like Haye has so many times, someone will be there to push them out the door. It works like a charm. Stopped counting how many times this has happened.
It would be interesting to see Haye against someone shorter than him again.
He has lit the ones he has face up.
But Stiverne is better than Barrett, Chisora, and a fade Ruiz obviously.
Haye if fit is so powerful though and with the speed you'd have to back him.
it's a great fight & i'm on the fence on this one. haye hits a lot harder then arreola & is much faster but his chin isn't granite & I doubt very much he could take some of the punches arreola did. he'd have to use his speed but on the other hand stiverne showed snake in the grass patience & countered arreola with precision. is he fast enough to do it to haye? lots of what ifs in this fight & that makes it very interesting.
Haye has never taken those sort of punches in his entire career, so I doubt Stiverne could land them on Haye.
That's Haye as we've seen him, but who knows how he would be, should he come back.
Arreola doesn't even have head movement and neither does Stiverne really, so it's hard to compare to Haye, who, in all respect to Arreola, is a totally different class of fighter.
If it ever happened, and if Haye was anywhere near the fighter who fought Chisora, I would pick him to finish Stiverne inside 6, possibly earlier.
In my opinion, better in every department.
That being said, don't think it would happen.
Haye wud demolish him
Stiverne throws 4 punches per round, slow
Haye wud not miss the Hayemarker
Arreolas fat ass was landing many shots, and he looked very fast compared to Stiverne
Haye is probably a million times faster, better reflexes, 100 times more power, great head movement and can attack you from a distance with a flying haymarker
had haye landed that many punches that arreola landed, it'd have been lights out very quickly
dont see haye fighting again, at least not at the top of the division. he may have another harrison type fight in the UK or even a couple, but i cant see him getting in the mix.
would be a great fight though, one i struggle to see going 12. haye has lots of speed and power and stiverne is very slow and plodding with the exception of his decent hand speed.
he does however have the power to knock haye cold with a single punch, haye however is very elusive with both his feet and head movement. bermane would have to wear him down to land a knockout blow and he may not last long enough.
great fight though, lots of great fights to be made at HW at the moment. i would love to see them put together a little 4 man tournament with the winner challenging wlad for the true championship.
it makes sense as there are actually a couple of up and coming contenders atm but not one that stands out. make them settle it in the ring and by the time the dust settles it will have created a fight people would really look forward to not to mention some great fights along the way.
stiverne, wilder, fury and then either haye, pulev or jennings take the last spot. :boxing:

hmmmm...intriguing fight...I sort of imagine it going like the Chisora fight, except Stiverne is a lot more skilled offensively and I think if he landed like Chisora was on Haye early on in that fight, it could be good night. If Haye uses his speed, punching angles and superior movement, he would win this...and it would be an impressive win for sure.
More skilled than Chisora, yes, maybe. But far more inactive, so less chances to connect.

No he isn't, he's even said himself that IF he even does come back he'll need to fight at least a tune up. He admitted he cant come back to facing world level opposition.
Do you think Haye wants to go another 12 rounds with Wlad?

Haye got this, unless his injury has severely affected him. If it hasn't and he can use that right hand, Haye beats just about everyone in the division barring Wlad. Simple as that.
Heck, someone as slow and uncoordinated as Arreola was outboxing Stiverne for stretches of the fight, Haye is 10x quicker and hits harder, STiverne goes out. Maybe it'd go the ful l12, I think it would.
yea,,,I think haye would probably stop stiverne at some point but I think it would be a boring fight. both guys only fight in spurts and would probably be very cautious and wait to counter punch
