Seriously, the guy was throwing a nice straight jab then windmilling haymakers with the right hand all night. How about working in some feints and straight rights and compact left hooks while you have a guy pinned on the ropes.
He put up a valiant effort but the guys skill level is not great.
you haven't seen the lopez and soto karass fights then. he was punishing them with straight right hands and a stiff jab. marcos knows how to throw a variety of punches, there is a method to his madness. broner could not figure out the angles of those looping shots flying over his shoulder but floyd did as the fight progressed, i wish maidana had mixed it up more at that point.
edit:
go to 28:15, that's what a maidana straight right looks like.
If he threw straighter punches he wouldn't be Chino. And I actually think that helped him in the Mayweather fight. He throws awkward punches, not textbook by any means and that can confuse any boxer trying to anticipate a punch to slip.
Honestly,it didn't help him land anything either. His aggressiveness pushed May weather into the ropes but those windmill punches missed 8 of 10 times. His body work was good at least.
