the biggest payday chavez, jr. ever made was 3 million for the martinez fight while his opponent took just half that amount. for the vera fight, chavez , jr. took home 2.5 million. the purse for the rematch was never made public but i'm guessing around 2 million maybe even less.
chavez, jr. was sure to get a higher purse than golovkin probably around 2 million. even if haymon gets in the picture, i'm not sure even he could guarantee anything higher. chavez, jr. isn't even a champion, his stock has plumeted and he knows it.
chavez, jr. is ducking golovkin plain and simple.
your thoughts?
true. arum probably lowballed him but if it wasn't for his father's name, chavez, jr. wouldn't even be relevant in boxing.
i'm guessing he broke right now after paying those steep penalties.

Nope, he didnt let him self get trapped by Arum and his sly tactics to enslave fighters to his ironclad contracts.
12 million dollars for 2 fights=slavery!
