Unfortunately we never got to see Hamed knocked silly, as it would have been enjoyable to see him suffer a Tszyu-Judah, Tyson-Berbick, Jones-Griffin 2, or even a KTFO case like Ruddock-Dokes or him on the floor like Fishnet against Snaggle tooth.
We still have hope for Broner. As it is, which fight was more enjoyable?

Comparing a great boxer with some of the greatest reflexes and deadly power to a flat footed bum like Broner
Also Hammed was pretty much in the worst shape of his life and past his prime when he fought Barrera, and still put up a good fight
We're talking about what was more enjoyable, not who was a more accomplished fighter.
It's a given that as of now, the Prince was a better fighter
Maidana-Broner without a doubt. Hamed talked ****y but he could back it up AND he provided awesome fights. His knockdown fest with Kevin Kelly is still one of the greatest 4 rounders you can watch today. Also, he was fighting who he could until Barrera or Morales would accept a fight with him.
Who the hell has Broner beat thus far to warrant a loud mouth? Oh right, nobody. Then he finally steps up and faces a known named opponent who isn't a midget and get's slapped from ring post to ring post.
Hmm tough one, I'd say Maidana-Broner.
Now when it comes to beer cups thrown at them, definitely Hamed, think he got hit by one while suspended in mid-air, great ring entrance.
Barrera outboxed Hamed 8 rounds to 4 or something....but yeah have them tell you it was a "beatdown".
Barrera changed his style to fight Hamed because he feared the power.
Barrera fought in far too calculated and disciplined a manner for it to have been anything more than a comprehensive decision win. This fact tends to get lost in the numerous highlight reels made on this particular fight over the last couple of years.
Well both got beer thrown at them; but Broners ring entrance with him dancing and **** makes that ass beating funnier
Slight edge to Broner Maidana. And Broner wasn't coming off some long lay off
liked both Barrera and Hamed, either guy winning was ok
liked Maidana and was thrilled to see Maidana rape Broner
a cool dude beating up a stupid twat>2 cool dudes fighting
It was more than that, they were sort of goating him into certain responses but he was making it clear that it was sort of a Christianity vs Islam match up. I remember him even wearing the trunks with the word "Islam" on them in big bold letters.
In Mexico it got lots of news and he wasn't shy about proclaiming his religion the true one.
Honestly, I think Naz not fighting JMM, Barrera or Morales in that same era hurt his legacy. Let's also remember, he was knocking people out and had a fantastic fight with Kevin Kelly that he was the favorite in the fight vs Barrera.
I just thought Barrera exposed him. He wasn't as good as you Brits are making him out to be. Flashy little fighter but no where near the level of the 3 Mexican greats of his era.
Supporting your own religion means you hate other religions/nationalities?
:lol1:

Looking for racism where there is none..how pathetic of you
Chip on shoulder
How in the fuk is saying that Allah is the only true god and Mohamed was his final messenger an insult to Mexicans?!! Where did he mention Mexico? Wtf? :lol1:
Yeah Barrera and Morales kicked seven shades of sh1t out of each other for tuppence whilst Naz got one of the most lucrative contracts on HBO at the time and paved the way for the likes of Barrera, Morales, JMM etc to make those kind of paydays.
So really, you should be bowing down to the Prince.

Personally I liked 4 fights. Shane Margarito, Pac Margarito, Garcia Matthysse, and most of all Pac Marquez 4. I have seen many boxing matches in my life and have seen many satisfying victories... In recent years though these 3 were the best. The two fights you named don't rank as high as the ones I listed but they did prove a lot of doubters wrong.
was hamed a douche with his opponents? i don't remember him being an asshole like broner. naseem was cocky, that's what i remember, broner is a complete fool, so i go with him being fucked by chino
People do forget how important Hamed was. Dude made it possible for little guys to headline cards and get serious bank. He was flashy and backed it up. I loved watching him.
Indeed the little "blip" made these little guys go on to earn millions, big enthronement deals, headline events
as well as inspiring the likes of Floyd
Also Paulie said he deicide boxing was for him when he saw Naz fight live in the US
but he was only a BLIP
He did insult Mexico and Barreras religion leading up to that point. Saying over and over that Allah is the only true god and Mohamed was his only messenger. I'm not religious at all and could care less about people arguing over fairy tales but religion in Mexico is as important to those people as it is to people who are Muslims.
He went on and on about it, and even wanted to fight on one of the holiest of days for Catholicism. Barrera didn't take too kindly to that.
Oh and Barrera made Barrera, not Naz. The fights between him and Morales were 1000X more important to his legacy. Naz was just exposed as over hyped.

He outboxed him fairly thoroughly, yes. Naz was swinging one shot at a time most of the night, he didn't really prepare for Barrera. Barrera dedicated his life to that fight and studying Naz.
Insulted Mexico? When? Is that where the bitterness comes from?
A blip? He pretty much paved the way for all your little heroes to make 7 figure paydays.
You're welcome, Mexico.

Naz was past his prime, regardless of having his 0, Manny Steward pointed this out during training camp (in the documantry leadiing up to the fight), said Naz was in horrible shape and didnt think he wud be ready, he was getting beat up in sparring
Anyone with a ounce of knowledge about Naz wud know he was on the tailor end of his career, due to injuries of the ankle and hands., which led to him gaining weight.
It hurts that Khan waxed ur hero up rite? lmaoo
See we all can argue like childish idiots, its just u dont like it when the tables are turned on u,
It bothers me none that Khan beat Barrera because any REAL boxing fan knows Barrera was done.
On the other hand, you want to make excuses for a prime Naz because he didn't train. We ll guess what, training is part of your legacy and responsibility. I take no credit from Buster Douglas because he beat Tyson, and you should take any away from Barrera.
Plus, the same Emmanuel Sterwart said later that even if Naz was in tip top shape, Barrera is an incredibly hard fight for him and he admitted to avoiding Barrera, Morales and JMM when Naz was coming up.
Do your homework.
LOL funny how you make excuses for an undefeated, prime Naz and yet an old, 2 weight classes above his own Barrera lost to Khan on CUTS....lol
Before that Barrera was landing on your boy and a prime Barrera destroys Khan's chinny ass.
Please don't ever compare a legend like Barrera to Khan, I like Khan but your embarrassing yourself kid. They don't belong in the same sentence.

LOL WTF where you watching, Barrera completely dominated that loud mouth and retired him for good.
He insulted Mexico, the Christian religion and acted like a complete ass. When his face went into the turnbuckle, it was a beautiful sight.
Fuk Naz, he is now just a blip on the world of boxing only to be forgotten and thankfully so. We don't need bigots and religious nut jobs in boxing.

and khan beat the **** out of barrera and made him his little girl
it all works out in the end doesnt it lmao
fact is barrera fought a horrible naz who had weight issues for the first time in his career and damaged hands, he spent most of the camp trying to lose weight rather than concentrating on training
