I've made threads on here in the past and had people laughing at me but after watching this fight several times I'm convinced that Lamont Peterson would give Floyd his toughest fight in the 147-154lb weight class.
Lamont Peterson can do everything Maidana did but with more skills. Lamont Peterson has an excellent amature backround. In the middle of the ring, Floyd would not outbox Lamont like he did Maidana. Lamont has a good jab and most importantly he has a long reach. It would be competitive in the middle of the ring.
Lamont Peterson is super strong on the inside and tough. He would be able to apply pressure and bang with Floyd on the inside without getting caught with counters back like the other fights have been. He is an excellent body puncher himself who can hit with both hands.
NOw just take into account that Floyd is throwing less punches and has low volume himself all these rounds would be very competitive. Floyd would not be able to hurt Lamont. Lamont would be on that ass all night long.
I'm reading on here that Khan would be competitive with Floyd.LOL. Floyd would look amazing in there with Khan possibly knocking him out or stopping him. Collazo looked like dog **** in there like he didn't train, and walked to Khan with his hands down and Khan didn't know what to do besides hold on for dear life and push his head down. Khan slaps with his punches.
I used to be interested in this fight for a couple of the reasons you mentioned - never really thought he could beat Floyd, but his skill on the inside is a quality I like to see in fighters who get to matchup with Floyd. Just gives the fights more complexity imo.
I advocated for the Maidana fight for similar reasons (I realize he is more awkward, powerful, etc) and never once thought it would be a stinker or shutout. i'm not maing a straight line comparison between these two but, in general, the prowling and inside skills that they can bring are hard to come by imo and bring an element of interest to a Mayweather fight.
I don't really want to see it anymore, don't really think he could beat Floyd but it would probably be an entertaining fight, i can get with you on that part.
Lamont lost to Khan, that fight was a robbery
Lucas knocked him the fuck out too
and Bradley did a number on him yrs ago
all this happened at JWW, his best division
no way he goes up to WW and poses any threat to Floyd
Both Khan and Bradley outboxed Peterson. Ortiz outfought and outboxed Peterson.
Peterson got a gift decision against Khan and a gift Draw against Ortiz.
He shouldn't even be mentioned alongside Floyd. Maidana at least beat the crap out of Ortiz, destroyed Broner, should've gotten the W over Kotelnyk, and has lesser but still decent wins over Lopez and Karrass.
Exactly and he was juiced up in Khan's fight, yet Khan dropped him twice, had that fight been anywhere else but DC it would have been a wide UD win for Khan.
Another consequence deducted from the "Maidana Big Bum Theory of Boxing Universe".
As you may know, in Einstein's theory of relativity the speed o light is the only invariant physical phenomenon: always the same and equal to 300.000 km/sec.
The Big Bum Theory of Boxing Universe assumes that Chino's merits and skills are also invariant and always the same (near zero).
Consequences deducted:
-Broner is a bum.
-Floyd is aging.
-Peterson would beat Floyd.
-The WW division is now hotter than ever, with all those Top fighters: Pacquiao, Bradley, Porter, Thurman,,, (Chino is not among them)
Because I use another boxing paradigm, what I deducted from the Moment is that it proved better than any previous fight that Floyd is tough, tough, tough...
So forget Pacquiao can beat him: Floyd would keep wiping out any WW not named Chino Maidana.
Peterson Lost to Khan, yes LOST, he was gifted with a hometown decision with the help of ref.
I scored the fight for Khan despite of two points deductions. Tut tut Not to mention Peterson used PEDS and was juiced up.

I also convince that Bradley Head first windmill attack would also beat Floyd plus he doesn't get tired as long as hear wears socks
Because he's hardly a threat to any top 140 guys stylistically. Let alone top 147 fighters. Mayweather, Maidana, Thurman, Porter all beat Peterson. I would give Peterson a shot at Alexander and even that fight would be 50-50.
Been wanting to see that fight for a very long time, I'd pick Peterson in that one and it wouldn't be a boring fight.
no he lost to lucas at 141, which technically is a ww fight. he is 0-1-0.
im going to assume this is sarcasm..not the lucas part, thats a brainfart, the welter part.
ortiz didn't outbox and outfight Peterson. Peterson started slow because ORtiz had power. floyd doesn't have the power to hurt Peterson why is that hard for you to understand.
peterson walked Ortiz down and was hurting him with looping right hands
why is it hard for you to understand that Pterson is a threat to Floyd @ 147 stylistically.

Tried to box against Jean in his last fight. He always does early, until he loses a couple rounds or gets knocked down, then he starts fighting. I don't get it.
Think I had him losing 2 rounds to Holt as well, I'm guessing he boxed in those rounds too, can't remember. Peterson is a difficult fighter to understand but I think it's all lack of confidence that prohibits him from operating out of his natural style from the getgo, which is taking it to them.
He should have realized who he was after Bradley, instead he kept trying to box and it continuously got him in trouble against Ortiz, Khan and Matthysse. No indication that he knows what type of fighter he is.
Can't speak on Thurman, I'd like to see how he handles Porter first.
