Didn't catch the post fight interviews or press conference. What did Floyd say exactly?
Said that Mikey Garcia and Ward were the next PPV stars.
Yeah pretty much with Ward he said he was a hell of a fighter and that Ward probably wishes he fought on Showtime because we're the shhit.
when a reporter asked about Khan, Mayweather didn't even answer the question and started talking about Mikey Garcia but said
He's a great Champion, Next PPV superstar and then looked like he was talking to Mikey and said "our ultimate goal is to make you a PPV star because you have all the talent in the world". That sentence caught me off guard Especially talking to a top rank fighter like that.
Just interesting or a coincidence both fighters are suing their promoters probably be free agents if successful and Mayweather talking like that made me think if he's free Mayweather/Haymon/Shaeffer are going to try and scoop him up.
Speculation on my part
No he didn't duck, I think a lot has to do with the Top Rank lawsuit. And from the way Mayweather was talking in the post fight I wouldn't be surprised if the lawsuits sucessfull he's going to sign with Haymon/Mayweather or something to that effect.
Clear duck.
Below is the article by FatDaN from ESPN just posted about Garcia pricing himself out. Case close.
"This fight is just as good, maybe better than Garcia-Gamboa," Arum said. "We just couldn't live with Mikey's financial demands. A lot of it was fueled by other people, who told him that Gamboa was getting $1.5 million and he was only getting $750,000, which was ludicrous and wrong. But we made a good fight here. Gamboa does have a lot of power, but like most Cuban fighters he's very cautious and a very good boxer. Crawford is superb boxer.
Well Arum says what they weren't getting paid, he doesn't say what they were getting paid.
According to Garcia, they offered him $850k and then $1m whilst Gamboa is getting $1.5m
Is Gamboa worth more than Garcia?
Clear duck.

Interesting statement from Arum there.
Clear duck.

Yes, I believe it was on twitter that Gamboa said he would take less than 500k and Garcia wanted at least 2 mil. for the fight and HBO only wanted to split a purse of 2 mill. So yes, I do not like to say so and so is ducking but let's say.....Garcia sought out other oppotunities. Oh yeah, Mr. Arum was saying who the truck is Gamboa, nobody knows who he is? Arum was trying to protect that 0 Garcia has. But really my opinion is that Garcia would win, Gamboa does not fight enough, got dropped twice in his last 2 fights, looks 180 lbs when he is not training or has a fight lined up. Yes, he did not want to fight Rios when he was under TR. Arum still pissed at him for that IMO. That fight should have happened. But that is what kind of happens when you have a rapper as your promoter who think he can hang with the boxing heavyweights(top rank, golden boy, shhhhiiii, even dibella..lol). Personally also i believe Robert Garcia did not want his brother fighting the cuban buts that just my opinion
Yeah because Crawford will have taken the short money. Do you think Crawford is as big a name or as established a fighter as Mikey Garcia?
Red K, for using common sense.
Gamboa seems to be happy with whatever money he is getting.
For Mikey they made it seem like he had priced himself out, even though Gamboa tweeted that he would be willing to take a lot less than the numbers Garcia's team was claiming.
You talk like Gamboa has a choice.

i think so. same way adonis ducked kovalev, chavez jr ducked ggg, and now mikey ducked gamboa.
when these guys are matched up with a tough opponent (who have a good shot at beating them) they run to al haymon and gbp.
Why people all they talk about ducking..You guys dont know business or what?..If you go back to those matches, the no name or less popular fighter its the one that benefits a great deal more than the known names...You dont get it ..Mikey,chavez and stevenson are a much greater stars on the sport(im not saying more skilled)..And you say ducking, you mean they are scared?...they could be of losing and losing potencial revenue,so why risk it..I dont agree but this the era in boxing..Money,not who is the best.
What does how easily the Terrence Crawford fight was made have to do with anything?
