Which fighter is most likely to take Floyd's "0" and hand him his first defeat.
We won't mention Pacquiao because that fight will never happen.
I'll go first: Keith Thurman
LOL and you base this opinion off a fight which Floyd clearly won? not to mention a fight which Floyd chose purposefully handicap himself and fight Maidana's style of fight. Knowing full well Floyd didn't have to lay on the ropes he could have moved around much more and easily out pointed Maidana.
Sometimes I really do wonder. When Floyd moves around, pot shots, counters and dominates a guy you say he's "boring" and "running". When he chooses to trade, lay on the ropes and go toe-to-toe, and loses a few rounds you say "his age is showing" or "Floyd lost the fight" etc.
If Floyd gives him 3-5 rounds to a guy, you say he lost, because you're so used to seeing him win 10+ rounds a fight.
Even Floyd thought he lost. The look on his face before the decision was announced said it all. Why would he chose to fight in a manner that would result in his first defeat? He was forced to fight that way.
It was more fighting without a ref's protection against a pressure fighter than age imo.
Anyway, from the list Maidana (ref pending), Thurman and maybe Matthysse can beat him from that list. Not sure about Khan.
