Any particular reason? Or was there a legit reason for him not fighting Nelson? Maybe someone who followed the situation closely on Twitter can clarify it for me.
Thanks.
From what I gathered from listening to Leave it in the Ring radio, He left Ann Wolfe again and is now having problems with his new promoter (50 cent) over money. Kirkland always gets me so excited when he returns because he is so entertaining but then he falls back into making the same old mistakes from the past. I am assuming he is going to try and leave 50 cent considering 50 Cent wont be able to get him big fights and established promoters who can put Kirkland on their cards do not want to risk their guys against Kirkland or pay Kirkland good money to fight on their cards. Whoever told him to leave Golden Boy really gave him terrible advice.
I don't understand. He was gone for over a year and wants a big fight after beating a prospect? He complained about GB and now 50?
If what you say is true, I wonder why BScene hasn't reported anything.

Idk why but it was dumb af.. Imo Kirkland would kick Nelson's ass as long as he gets past the first round (that seems to be his weakness).. If anyone has seen Nelson fight you know he has that crystal chin
Let's not act like Kirkland has some iron type chin either doe.

I thought Asian fighters were his kryptonite.....
seriously though, dunno... must've not liked the money
Surely it had to be more than the fight vs Tapia no?

Kirkland vs Cornflake?
Kirkland won't even fight Nelson and you want him to fight Cornflake? Kirkland don't want none.
Can't believe people wanted him to face GGG too.
He must've had flashbacks from the Ishida fight.
