Broner is actually very effective (against smaller opponents mostly) when he turns into a boxer puncher. In every fight he tries to be cute and roll but often his activity drops and his opponent starts to land. He then abandons the roll and his defense and activity immediately improve.
Broner can be a very successful fighter but he is not a slick counter puncher. Shame he is too caught up in being like Floyd in and out of the ring to realize his true potential.
He'd rather look pretty and lose than look ugly and win.
Just about...and ironically he's been looking ugly while winning.
Its just frustrating that his personality is so corny and desperate for attention that he doesnt fight they way he should. Embracing a boxer-puncher style would gain him more fans than acting like a sideshow.
*a very poor man's James Toney.
Broner fights nothing like a young Shane except maybe that they have fast hands (Broner's nowhere near as fast as prime Shane though). AB tries to fight like the old version of Mayweather with a limited skill-set.
Yes a poor mans Toney, like the old heavyweight Toney after the 2nd Sam Peter fight
Here's what I can say about Broner. He is not a counter puncher. He punches only when his opponent is finished punching. If you want to beat Broner there are two things that you should have: stamina and power. Broner could probably do 15 rounds or so. You can figure the rest.
Naw he kinda fights like Berto mixed with James Toney
