We don't know. I believe it will be come one determined and smart. Not just someone who throws body shots well. Not just someone bigger. Not just someone faster. Not just someone with a good chin. Not just someone who throws a lot of punches.
Maidana threw a lot and fighters/fans will foolishly think that throwing a lot is some sort of blueprint. But it's not. Maidana did more than throw a lot, he made it rough and sold himself out even more to try to get Floyd uncomfortable. And he did. However it also became his undoing as Floyd always remains relaxed.
Some say it is GGG who will "smash" Floyd. Since when have we seen Golovkin truly tested? When was he in vs a top, legit world class fighter where you had to ask yourself whether he's ready or not as a professional? What makes Thurman or Golovkin any more than the next hype job who hasn't really fought a real professional challenger in the top 5 yet to all of a sudden crown them as the "blueprint" to smash an 18 year professional phenomenon?
C'mon man...
Thurman, GGG and Porter are simply new flavors of the month while Floyd is getting older. I guess I can't expect people not to crown them as the next great P4P fighters. Even when they still have a lot to prove vs the best. Porter is the furthest along simply because of his victory over Alexander.
Other than that, they've only beaten gate keepers and had some nice knockouts.
Try this:
Thurman vs Porter
Thurman vs Bradley
Porter vs Bradley
Thurman vs Brook
Golovkin vs Chavez Jr
Let these guys actually beat someone credible in the top 5-top 10 before your make them HOF class of 2015 bound. They're not doing anything different than any other up and comer by knocking out no hopers and faded names. Again, the most impressive in all of their work is Porter vs Alexander. Other than that, they're just the new guys in town.
Well Maidana was pretty much a gate keeper at WW himself before the fight. It doesn't take elite talent to trouble floyd. Awkward, good talent and elite pressure that can be sustained can beat him. A Margarito era pacquiao would have torn up Saturdays floyd but pacquiaos too past it. Maybe porter can do a malinaggi on floyd.

Brawler like Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter would smash Mayweather to a pulp so those two are out of the Mayweather sweepstakes
shawn porter and thurman are the new boogie man for mayweather i called this 2 years ago
It was floyds jab to the body that changed the fight dynamics around round 6 onward.I just don't see khan being hit like that to the body with his just as fast and long jab.
maidana came close,,but in the end his style has alot of wear and tear, and against a guy like floyd whos going to get into a major groove in the mid rds u have to have amazing conditioning to keep up. by rd 6 maidana was in spurts fighting floyd in the mid of the ring at distance. he cant do that at all, its suicide for a guy like him
I say Mayweathers on the slide if the likes of maidana hung with him for 5 or so rounds.
I don't buy all this maidana is so much better now bs looks exact same to me.

khan beats him if mayweathers hands are hurting and he cant put full power in to punches.khan is a fast starter and mayweather a slow starter lately i could see him winning the first 5 or so rounds and i cant see mayweather stopping khan from winning 2 rounds in 6-12.
The fight will never happen mayweather has the perfect duck excuse in saying fight in september now.
Floyd hasn't gone near a fast high workrate fighter for a long long time.
as soon as khan gets hit he loses composure and he will get hit

If mayweathers hands are okay he knocks out khan mid to late rounds.

I can see maidana floyd 2 then jmm 2 or an old ass martinez then retirement
