That’s how you score boxing. Throwing wild shots that do not land.....goes the other fighters way in terms of scoring a fight.
You can not land clean punches and still be effective with your aggression. If I still move you where I want you and then land something decisive, or if I simply impose my fight and force you into a different tempo reluctantly, then my aggression was effective.
You can also land clean punches off the back foot.
Boxing is more complex than most make it out to be and each fight brings different nuances to assess.
114-114 is fair.
I scored it 115-113 for Floyd on the night of the fight, and again when I re-watched it recently. It was a close fight.
Regarding the 11th round, I gave it to Floyd because Floyd really dominated the first 1:45 of that round and did a lot of good work early. He had one of his best combinations just 10seconds into the round, for example, and he deserves credit for it even if it did happen early on.
Maidana dominated the next 45 seconds, and then Floyd got him with a couple of quick hooks before Maidana tackled him. Floyd landed a couple decent shots after getting up at the end of the round.
Again, it was a close fight, and I don't have a problem with anyone scoring it a draw even though I had Floyd in a close win.
9-3 your an idiot.
You forget boxingmatches are fights.
and floyd got out fought.clearly

had floyd by a round or 2 iirc maidana really smothered his own work it may have looked good but it wasnt effective if it was how come floyd wasnt bust up? staggered? struggling down the stretch? floyd simply waiting till maidana lost a step then put his foot on the gas and won enough rounds to take the fight
props to chino i only wish we could have seen what would have happened if the bell didnt ring in the 2nd fight right after chino stunned floyd
Same as Mannys also, this was before he ever worked with Floyd, the respect he grows with Floyd from an opponent to in the same corner is easily seen, Floyd impressed Ariza big time.
Paid Ariza.

I dont see how you could give Maidana the 11th .
Is that the same coach who was in Floyd’s camp?

This is Maidanas conditioning coach and he saw it very different to you, hate is such a blinding emotion.
Do yourself a favor and watch some Eckhard Tolle to give you a deeper understanding on how your brain works.

Marcos was effective with his aggression though. He had Floyd pinned on the ropes, grabbing and holding, crying to the ref, etc.
Oh, I forgot, he did all of that on purpose to make sure the fans were happy.

My point was he claimed maidana is a dirty fighter when floyd is just as dirty....
No he is not just as dirty but like every top pro he has old school tricks that come with the territory, dirty fighters will hit low on purpose, hit thighs, hit the back of neck, stand on your feet, try to trip you, come in with the head, turn the hooks over to slice with the elbow, rub the glove over cuts etc etc, they do a lot of this stuff on the refs blind side and they know they are doing it.
A brawler can bum rush smother and do all of the above, a very slick boxer cannot pull it off, so yes Floyd has every trick in the book but he is not a dirty fighter, Maidana is a rough house fighter that does a lot of things I mentioned.
Floyd lost this fight, too cautious and defensive in the same vain as a boxer who is hurt so has to be defensive to survive round.
Floyd possibly should have lost some rounds 10-8 as he was too defence mode trying to survive as best as he could to get through round.
So will be tre ated in same way as someone who was on verge of being koed who who has to be solely defensive to survive losing round 10-8
my point was he claimed maidana is a dirty fighter when floyd is just as dirty....
no not on the same level but that was more for those who always complain about dirty fighters, chino was extra dirty in the first floyd fight and those same posters praised it.
Its professional boxing, they will all use a forearm to push off a guy, I could string them pics together on any boxer, no different to knocking a guys hand down and punching him with the other, as Ricky Hatton once said its not a tickling contest, understand the edge the top pros play on.

Yea Because floyd doesnt use any illegal tactics?? LOL.
