lmaooo
I thought it was very disrespectful how he smacked Chino's hand away when he was doing the product placement for the cookie he was eating. The thing is, he actually gets mad like he wants to hit the fighter lol.
He needs to understand these fighters are their main attraction, they are the ones who draw viewers. Respect them enough to let them express themselves. He also needs to remember that it's the fight game, these guys will talk smack and in explicit fashion; specially after a fight when emotions are running high.
I agree he wouldn't let him show his damn cookie, they need someone more patient for longer interviews after a $70 pay per view damn
Merchant was hated by many but liked by many too, whereas Jim Gay is hated by just about every single person on earth. How he keeps his job is a mystery.
yeah I was mad when the dude took the mic from Broner when he was going in on the messicans lmao. Have some class?? Get the fuuuuck outta here with that boxing is a sport that doesnt draw people of class go watch golf or something lame ass showtime announcer
The thing is I bet your sorry ass would be one of the first ones up in arms if the shoe was on the other foot. You people are f'n pathetic.
He lucky Maidana mind was pre occupied with having just being in the fight of his life otherwise I think Maidana would put hands on dude.
No kidding. Had Maidana been dominated and in a bad mood, I'm sure he would've clocked him lmao
That actually really pissed me off. Maidana just fought his ass off for 12 rounds, let the man advertise for whatever he wants lol. But seriously, the notion of him smacking it out of his hand is what got me. Tell him to stop, fine, but don't smack it out his hand. That's disrespectful.
Thats what he learned at Fox.

Jim Gray should get fired from showtime. For not letting fighters say what they want to say. Thats what FOX does which is also where he works and Fox is a dumb news organization that doesn't allow you to voice your opinion unless you believe in their ideals.
Jim Gray does this a lot. Have you seen the chris arreola video. James Toney put Jim Gray in his place.
I do agree that Gray comes off as a prick most times, I don't care for him personally but Broner was out of line man. I realize he was just playing into the whole "can man" thing but from a business standpoint, those people in the audience pay the bills and most of them are of Hispanic descent.
I guess on the whole, I'd agree that Gray is a pretentious dude who is passive-aggressive in his interviews after the fights and often insults the boxers.
Broner insulting a crowded arena full of Hispanic people on Cinco De Mayo, lol. Without those "f'n Mexicans", Broner would have been making 15K instead of a million.

Jim Gray acted like a B1tch when he interviewed Arreola, And he also acted Like one last night when he interviewed Broner.

Let Chino advertise his cookies damn. He's getting only 1.5 million against Floyd where Rios got 3.5-4 million for fighting Pacquiao. This is because they had to get Broner and Kahn on the card who demand a lot of money for fighting.
He's an annoying prick, but not as bad as Merchant was in his later years. I find it distasteful when fighters aren't even allowed to thank or shout out their families and/or training camp and get cut off by these pencil neck geeks. Let the fighters say what they want to say dammit!
