There's absolutely no shame in admitting that Mayweather was pushed to the brink and responded like a champ and pulled that bad boy out. That's what ATG fighters do. That's something to be proud of, something to celebrate. Floyd pulled a fight out of the fire -- that is what boxing is all about.
Floyd is a legend, and he was forced to fight like hell last night. Both of those things are true, and we should be applauding it.
but he wasnt 17 lbs heavier.
showtime asked him to weigh in, floyd refused and just told them what his fight night weight is and showtime took it as gospel.
Do you have a source for that?
And he did the same with HBO too, right? :lol1:

didnt floyd say he will never get weighed in on fight night?
that was after the marquez weight sabotage.
you showing that pic just proves my point. how can floyd as he gets older weigh even less than before?
Maidana has become a whole different monster since switching trainers to Robert Garcia.
Khan looked pretty good last night but I wouldn't pick him to beat Chino right now. Would you?
For all of Khan's supposed work with his new trainer, he sure as hell didn't learn how to fight on the inside. Unless putting someone in a headlock is now an accepted form of infighting, I mean. Meanwhile, under Garcia, Maidana has improved everything that made him special in the first place. Even though he lost, his will/determination was never broken. Chino would wreck Khan if they re-matched.

He had to dig deep against a younger opponent who was 17 pounds heavier and who fought dirty as hell.
Floyd showed the heart of a champion to pull that win out.

Of course I'm happy, watching it again felt a lot better, didn't look as bad as I thought he did. Just that he's slowing down and it looked more noticeable here than it has in the past.
maidana always had those devastating combinations. that's nothing new and not something robert taught him. the one thing he drilled into him is the jab. you notice now he utilizes the jab often.
He was more crude before. Besides giving him a jab Garcia has also gotten him to throw more fluid combinations and he has tinkered a little with his body attack.
Alex Ariza also deserves some credit for making him stronger.
This version of Maidana is not the same as the one who fought Khan or who lost to Devon Alexander in my opinion. He has definitely improved.
Or the fact that Khan dropped Maidana. Something Floyd failed to do.
Alexander just straight up outboxed Maidana and looked better than Floyd while doing it.
If you're a fan of Floyd and support his p4p#1 TBE claims then you have nothing to be proud of from last night. Floyd got embarrassed by a huge underdog.Floyd won, lmao. Wtf are you talking about lmmfao. What you wrote had to make you feel better inside, but you didn't have to type it here lmao:lol1:
Prescott and Garcia did something Floyd didn't do. Put Khans lights out. So what, lmao.
You've always been biased. Style make fights. How about the fact that Khan has a better workrate than Floyd and didn't allowed Maidana to set off his offense from the get-go. Maidana simply out-muscled him and outworked him on the inside, but there weren't any moments where Maidana consistently landed upstairs the way that Cotto did in round 8 or any moment where Maidana had him on wobbly legs the way he did Khan.Khan ran for his life and hung on to a decision over Maidana. Floyd beat Maidana. Don't ever get that twisted.

Maidana hurt Khan more than he hurt Floyd and even busted Khan's face. Alexander is a southpaw, it's easier for southpaws to exit/pivot out when they are trap on the ropes. I don't support Floyd's p4p#1 TBE claim, but i do support the claim that "styles make fights" and Floyd will always have problems with guys who can force him to be in a rugged inside fight against the ropes.

i think maidana was more of a beast before garcia.
Naw, that's failing to give Robert the proper respect he is due for being a great trainer. He has focused Chino's aggressiveness and drilled some devastating combinations into him.
That's what gets lost in all this babble from both sides. Bottom line, both fighters fought like true champions and gave us a great show. The fans won last night.
I agree with this, the fans truly won last night.

How dare you speak reasonably!
Shame on you!
