its their fault entirely. they were only forced to wear those gloves because they didnt have enough back up gloves, a fighter usually chooses at the very least thee pairs of gloves in case his opponent rejects the others. which by the way happens rather often, sick of people pretending this is some new stunt floyd came up with that nobody ever did before. at the end of the day what really matters is the actual gloves and none of us laid our eyes on them so who knows. hell, most people around here wouldnt even know if they were fine or not if they did get a look at them. This is nothing unusual to be honest. It's just strange because it happened so close to the fight. A lot of times in the past, the A-side would CHOOSE the opponents gloves. Lennox Lewis was just saying this on Twitter, that he normally chose his opponents gloves. Anyone remember Oscar choosing Floyd's gloves at 154 lbs (even though Floyd never fought there before)? Anyone remember another high profile example of a fighter waiting until just a day before a fight to kick up a fuss over a pair of gloves and then rejecting commision approved gloves and threatening to pull out of a fight?

to answer my own post i actually got a decent look at them in the fighthype video of floyd looking at them and they dont look fine at all. obviously its not first hand so i cant tell for sure not having actually held and wore the gloves myself but they look foul as hell. he just barely touches it and the whole knuckle area collapses, they look thin as hell and when poked around the knuckle area there seems to be hardly nothing there. also worth mentioning every single member of mayweathers team agreed "there is nothing there" referring to the padding. while i understand they are just that, part of HIS team. his dad never says he is right just because its floyd, if anything its the opposite. big floyd been around a long time too so he knows his stuff. floyd even had the guy who makes his gloves (i think) try them on and he said he never seen or made anything like that. floyds team say very clearly its not the brand of the glove, its the glove itself. the padding isnt properly distributed and the place where its lacking is across the knuckles. they point out cotto wore those same everlast punchers gloves when he fought floyd and say it was nothing like the ones maidana was trying to wear.
