For the first time in his career I thought Floyd looked old. This fight was more about what Floyd didn't do than what Maidana did. Floyd looked sluggish, he stood flat footed more than I've ever seen and his reaction time was a bit slower. He also liked tired as hell mid way through the fight.
Yeah, even a prime Floyd would have had all he could handle with a prime, aggressive, puncher like Maidana but he also would have defeated him more easily.
Floyd rarely stayed against the Ropes against Canelo, he fought the majority of that fight on his toes and rarely laid on the ropes. He didn't fight much better than Broner. All you diehard Floyd fans got to realize if he keeps fighting he will eventually lose.
I think all the Paccunts and their tired rhetoric will have Floyd extra fired up to shut them up once and for all. The best Floyd can be at age 38 will show up May 2nd for sure. Floyd does not under any circumstance want to lose to anyone especially Manny who's controlled by the cunt Bob Arum. Floyd is also fighting a guy smaller than him which has been a very long time since that's happened. Floyd's only had 1 fight with Ariza so far so Ariza could make a difference. If there wasn't USADA testing I could understand the suspicion but there is so there should be no excuses. In the master thread I already picked Floyd by T/KO. Manny didn't look good in the 2nd Bradley fight after he got hit... he seemed gun shy at times and Bradley has nowhere near the pop Floyd has. Floyd's power is vastly underrated.
these are just pre excuses nobody is stupid lol
I'm not gonna lie, if Floyd shows up looking extra explosive that'll be very suspicious.
Fighting a guy that is 20+ pounds smaller than you have been fighting for years is going to have what effect do you think ?
Floyd has Ariza on his side, if physical conditioning/stamina/reflexes is what you're talking about then Ariza will make sure Floyd's in top form.
I'm sure he'll be in top shape as usual, both will be.
I don't think he even really needs Ariza.

Which is why I got Pac winning this fight.
Both guys have gotten older, but the things Floyd has lost he can't get back, Pac can still tighten up his defence.

That ship has sailed man. Pacquiao is going to fight the way he does until he retires.
I'm sure he's going to eat a couple straight rights every round.
It's what he's going to be able to land on Floyd that will win him the fight. 5 years ago I would have rooted for Pac but bet on Floyd.
Floyd's ready to have that 0 taken.

If Pacquiao had TKOed Marquez in the 4th & fought Floyd, he would had stopped Floyd. The fire he showed in the fight after taking it easy against Mosley & JMM3 was crazy.
If, If, If... He didn't stop Marquez. The HBO commentators were noting how well Marquez was able to take Manny's shots. Instead it was Manny who was knocked clean out!
They've both slowed down A LOT
Bad time for Floyd to fight Manny. This is such a winnable fight for the faster Pacquiao with Floyds reflexes declining :D
I would actually agree with you if Manny hadn't slowed down as well. I saw a lot of flaws in the Bradley fight. This fight is not going to look anywhere near as epic as it would have five years ago.

Pacquiao definitely has a better chance now than before. Bob Arum knew that and that's why he was more willing to make the fight now.
Anything to discredit the opponent I guess. I've always said that the best way to fight Floyd is to rough him up, not respect him at all, and take away all of his distance. Last night, a boxer finally did that and almost beat him. Floyd looked just as fast as he normally does, he was in the ring against a guy 20 pounds heavier who was stronger than him who brought the RIGHT STYLE to win. The blueprint is out there now and I fully expect Floyd to dodge a rematch at all costs and probably retire to make sure the rematch isn't demanded by the public.
Yet now, you discredit the win.
How can you say he's going to duck the rematch, the discredit it when he takes t and wins it?
You said Floyd would get stopped by Cotto and Canelo and he beat both.
You said he'd lose to Guererro, and he beat him.
Yet you discredit those fights after he wins them.
What sense does that make?

He was motivated to beat Canelo it was a challenge , since Canelo he is fighting contenders , I think he has been falling into a state of mentally stale and flat , he even said it was a bad performance and he felt flat , this fight will motivate the sht out of Floyd , Im expecting him to be mentally in the zone .
