GTFOH with the bullsh1t already..Mayweather beat Maidana in a closely competitive fight..I had it 8-4 for Mayweather..I see no need for a rematch,or for anyone to make this into something it's not..Maidana was not robbed,he fought hard but did not have the stamina to win this fight..
I do tip my hat to Maidana doe, much better showing then I expected..
Can you show me where thats one of the criteria for scoring a fight? Last I checked, connect percentage has absolutely nothing to do with who won and who lost.
Sure. Landing at a 2:1 ratio falls directly into the clean effective punching category. Secondarily, ring generalship and defence, Mayweather dominated as well. Which means he's controlled 3/4 of the criteria for winning rounds.
Accuracy of your shots matters, quite heavily. How you could say the opposite is beyond me. Being aggressive means nothing when your opponent is out landing you at a 2:1 ratio in every area, and throwing less.
In any event, here's some links for you to read on the criteria of judging a boxing match:

I scored it 114-114. Each fighter won 5 out of 6 rounds in each half the fight.
Although, if someone told me they scored it 115-113 or 116-112 (and no higher) for Mayweather, I could understand where you got the score and wouldn't necessarily complain.
Yeah, I had it 8 to 4 also although I could see it 7 to 5 maybe. I gave maidana 4 of the first 5 rounds but I gave floyd the rest. At no point did maidana have floyd in trouble and floyds shots were a lot cleaner and you could hear them much more easily. Maidana was hitting floyd in his back all night and was resorting to wrestling and typical latino machismo type bs that probably turned the one judge off that scored it 117 to 111.
Id be a lot more interested in seeing Pac or Khan next than a sloppy fighter like maidana who Floyd figured out after round 5 once again.
dude, you had bradley winning the first fight vs pac...you should be the last to preach about scoring ..
lol.........
I can see a draw, I couldn't see Maidana winning unless you're being generous his way.
Pretty much how I feel.. 115-113 or 116-112 are the only scores I see that make sense.. Maidana clearly won 4 early rounds and was ahead after 6 rds. But after that, I thought Floyd took clear control of the fight
I agree with Maidana winning 4 rds..I disagree tho that Maidana was winning after 6..The fight was even after 6 in my book..

OP: How did you scored it round by round?
This is how my card looked..F(is for Floyd)M(is for Maidana)

7-5 Bradley is still horrible! Lol that fight was a robbery, lastnight not so much. Coulda gon either way IMO.
To the highlighted, that's your opinion and your welcome to it..
I don't know if I agree that the fight could have went either way..At least your not gonna call it a robbery..Which would have been a joke..
I had it 5-1 through 6 for Maidana but then Floyd came on strong and took 5 of the last 6 rounds. I thought a draw was in order or a 1 rd swing in either direction but the judges' scores were crap.
You my dude Math, but 5-1 is not a very good card bro..It's like you was not giving May any credit for anything he was doing in there..

I thought Cotto fought Floyd better. Maidana did landed a lot of body punches, but his offense wasn't as effective as some people thought it was, they were just happy that Maidana was able to bullied Floyd without consistently landed cleanly. 7-5 or 8-4 Floyd. Competitive fight, but Cotto had better moments where he landed more accurately against Floyd upstairs and downstairs.
Check the post fight punch stats. He didn't outland Floyd anywhere. Floyd nearly doubled Maidana in accuracy by the end of the fight (230 of 426 vs 221 of 858). So there was no "giving" the round to Mayweather. He won the rounds based on the criteria for scoring.

I said what I said. Maidana was promoted as a KO artist yet they robbed him of that opportunity by removing his most important weapon. His punchers gloves.
Then you had those crazy scores that were wrong when you look a their scores. Floyd should NOT have been wining the fight after 6 rounds. Those were Maidana's best rounds. Scores were bad! Best score was 114-114. One can say 7-5 for either Floyd or Maidana and one can't complain too much. So in that sense no, not a robbery but the scores were terrible by 2 judges. Just look at the early rounds. Unacceptable!
Promoting the fight:
This is an extremely dangerous fight for Floyd as Marcos Maidana is a technical knock-out artist and continues to show us............;

Again, your wrong here..I and many others had the fight a draw or Floyd ahead in the fight after six rds..145 was the only rds I thought Maidana clearly won early in the fight..I gave May rds 2 3 and 6,I'll admit 6 was a very close rd tho..Past 6 Mayweather took over the fight..So no I don't feel that those scores were bad..
Punchers gloves and come in as a middle weight ,he can't have it both ways.:lame:
What are you even talking about?
You saying that Maidana shouldn't be able to chose boxing gloves?
You saying that Maidana shouldn't be allowed to rehydrate properly?
Show the post where I said I thought Tim beat Pac 8-4??Never posted that,7-5 for Bradley was my score..
BTW it's interesting people are talking about a fight that happen almost two yrs ago in relations to the fight that took place last night..Do you believe the fight last night was a robbery??

Maidana was 168 on fight night! Floyd was under 150.
I don't think the fight was that close. I thought Floyd won the fight outright. I thought Maidana should have had a poing taken away as well for some of those illegal rabit punches everytime he had Floyd against the ropes
Seems as if the judging was a bit biased. For the most part Chino would control and dictate his fight and the pace of the fight. He would outwork, outpunch, outland Floyd for 85% of the round and if Floyd landed 2 clean punches they would give the round to Floyd. I have to watch it again but I had Chino winning 4 or 5 of the first 6 rounds and another late round that Floyd chose to take off. 7-5 Floyd or a draw is what it should have been. 117-111 was obviously a corrupted scorecard. Great fight nonetheless.
