Well I guess a win over the great Leapai somehow shoots you up 3 spots and manny's win over the number 3 p4p guy gets him no where in their eyes lol
so you have sergio who actually lost to murray and wlad who beat leppai ahead of pacquiao who just beat the #3 p4p fighter (just behind ward & floyd)?
:dunce:
these fl 0m 0s are so disgusting.
When did Sergio lose to Martin Murray?
I must have missed that fight. I saw the first one in Argentina in front of 50,000 fans in the rain. I could have sworn that Sergio was anounced as the winner of that fight though.
Klitschko is just dominant,period.
Pacquiao got KTFO'd by JMM in the last 2 years...so yeah..below Martinez who last lost to Paul Williams and Vladdy KO who hasn't lost in over 10 years now.
:boxing::boxing::boxing:
I think ward should slip down a few spots it's been f*cking ages since he had a win over a quality opponent and anyway a win over bradley is possibly better than a win over the likes froch anyway ... but definitely better since it was a few weeks as opposed to a few years ago. He should be at 3 or 4 due to inactivity imo.
Wlad at number 3 is also dodgy to me I might have him as high as 5 due to his dominance
If anything, Pac is way too high, shouldn't even be in the top 10. Beating Rios and an average Bradley doesn't make you the number 2.
Same goes for Wlad. This is boxing, not wrestling.
what people were afraid of when GBP first bought the ring mag has been happening ever since.
the inclusion of guerrero, broner, and canelo in the top 10 p4p list now this garbage is the reason why it was a bad idea for a boxing promotional company to buy ring magazine.
shameless conflict of interest.
The most dominant fighter should have always been at least in top 3.
I would kick Ward from no.2 and put manny there. Ward is way too inactive to still be in top 3.
Agreed. Has it been nearly 3 years since he fought a guy With a pulse?
And Manny should absolutely be no. 2. I guess it's because he is with TR.
P4P Lists should be about:
1 How good a fighter is right now.
2 Who he has beaten.
3 Who he has had the balls to fight(total resume)& how good those opponents are.
4 How dominant that fighter is in a 8-10 lb radius of that said fighter's weight.
5 How is that fighter perceived in their weight class and within that 8-10 lb radius...ie Lineal Champions or champions in different weight classes
My list expalined:
1 Money May..universally recognized #1 p4p fighter.
2 Andre Ward...undefeated champion..wins over Froch,Dawson, and Kessler,enough said.
3 Sergio Martinez...Lineal MW Champ..beat P4P Stars Pavlik & Paul Williams. He also beat Chavez. # 3 until he loses or retires.
Sergio vs Cotto is our Hagler vs Hearns.
4 Vladimir KO- Simply put the baddest mofo on the Earth. He has beaten all challengers for 10 years now as HW Champ. ATG Top 10 HW.Vladdy KO has some nice young HW now for him to fight.
5 Manny Pacquiao--won world titles in how many weight classes. His KO loss to JMM lowers him some as it was in the last 2 years but Manny is still a beast.
6 Bradley--do yourselves the favor and look at who Terrible Tim has beaten !!! The man can flat out scrap. He has wins over 2 top 10 P4P Stars.
7 Carl Froch--the man's resume is absolutely UNREAL !! Froch has wins over Taylor, Kessler, Bute, Pascal,Abraham, Direll, and so many world ranked fighters. Can't even wait for Froch vs Groves II.
8 JMM-Hall of famer with another unreal resume. KO win over Pacquio solidified his place on top 10 P4P list. Nice fight with Mile High Mike coming up too.
9 Danny Garcia--wins over Khan, Judah, Morales, and Lucas the Machine to name just a few. He is unbeaten and for the record, yes, he beat Herrera in a tough fight.Lineal 140 lb Champion.
10 Canelo Alvarez--Guy has wins over:Mosely,Trout, and Angulo. His only loss was #1 fighter in the world. He has 43 Wins with 31 KO and has been fighting world class opponents since age 19. Dude is fighting Lara next, enough said. Kid has balls and will fight anyone.

no offense but that's even worse. canelo is not top ten p4p, sergio is too high, wlad is too low (i'd have him #2)..and danny is questionable after that performance against herrera.

P4P rankings according to Golden Boy
Pac beat one the best American boxers 2 times and hes not above Ward or Floyd? Pac having done this after being Ko'ed.
Wlad, Ward and Floyd haven't beaten any elite boxers recently, or even distant memory almost.
I don't think these lists really matter really. Just may make some boxers so comfortable that they think they can get away with not having to do anything out of the ordinary and coast. If Floyd can stay at no1 without having to beat Pac, or Bradley or Sergio he can continue fighting CW Canelo, Ortiz, Guerrero and Maidanas of this world.
Which isn't really a good thing in a day and age when fighters can avoid others so much.
After Marquez ko'd Pacquiao I think they responded by moving Broner up to No. 6 :lol1:
The Ring P4P rankings have no credibility, I don't think most if the writers there have any respect for it. The transnational rankings are probably the only recognised rankings that have any merit these days - http://www.tbrb.org/all-rankings/
