Most boxing fans and pundits aren't giving Marcos Maidana much of a chance against Floyd Mayweather in this Saturday's highly anticipated fight, which Showtime has dubbed "The Moment." It's not surprising, and it's definitely not wrong. Floyd Mayweather is among the greatest boxers of all time in terms of pure craft in the ring, and his 45-0 record speaks for itself. We've seen him fight brawlers before and dismantle them with ease, so this one seems like a no-brainer.
But is Maidana just a brawler?
He can brawl, for sure, and he has the power to back it up. However, he's also developing a style under trainer Robert Garcia that makes him a much more dangerous foe than ever before.
Today's video aims to analyze those adjustments that Maidana and Garcia have made, including Maidana's increased use of the jab, his improved stance, and his ability to knock opponents out without being punched in the face a million times--though he's still the type of fighter who will take that kind of punishment just to get to his target.
I've been telling people this for months, on Saturday it will be that wonderful time of the year again, that time of the year where 'wraps feeds crow to the thousands, the work will soon pay off.
Awaiting frustrated Khantards in 5...4....3...2....1
:haha: Maidana > Khan
but he is the same old maidana doe, he hasn't change doe
:haha: Alot of people are going to feel real silly soon.
Ok... But it's still a mismatch. They shouldve called this event "No Chance".

No such thing as no chance in a boxing match. You know better.
As much as I like Maidana and seen how he's improved under Garcia, it isn't enough to beat Mayweather. He'll fight better than a 12-1 underdog but Mayweather wins by UD. I'm just glad it's him getting the big pay day over Khan. Still gonna watch in the unlikely event of an upset.
You can't teach an old dog with new tricks. Bottom line is Broner made Maidana look good. There were many instances where a better fighter would have given Maidana problems. He could be KO'd in this fight, same way Morales nearly did.
;14486049']Floyd wouldn't have chosen him if he didn't know he could dominate.
he could dominate the entire GBP welterweight roster right now. which fight isn't a mismatch?
The thing I hate about waiting for a fight like this (boxer vs brawl) when its usually a mismatch from the start is I always end up thinking the guy I didn't favor grows a huge chance through training camp.
When this fight first got signed I predicted Floyd possibly stopping Maidana if not putting on a Gatti like performance, now I feel like Chino is gonna bum rush Floyd and give it 120% and actually drop Floyd if he can land... so I'll take the Floyd by decision as a proper choice
