Shaefer going to work for Mayweather Promotions? lol Yeah right Listen as somebody else said, Shaefer isnt going anywhere - Oscar is a drug addict and probably a depressive type with all his cross dressing tendences etc who will be up and down & unfortunatley and in and out of rehab. Every now and again Oscar will pipe up and make some noise as he is now but Richard knows how to control him...and Oscar knows who is running the business..this will all blow over pretty soon IMO.

Every GBP fighter thanks Schaefer and Haymon in post fight interviews. I never hear anything about a fighter thanking De La Hoya. Hopkins in his last interview thanked Richard Schaefer and Al Haymon and not DLH. Mayweather, Matthysse, Garcia, Santa Cruz, etc. all thank Schaefer and Haymon, and no mention of DLH. Like I said before Schaefer has a stronger relationship with the GBP fighters than the Golden Boy, the owner, himself, probably because they see he does all the work in the company and is the one who does the negotiating for them. DLH was a part time fighter/promoter, now he is no longer a fighter and is a part time promoter, next he will be nothing. "My loyalty is with Showtime and Richard Schaefer" - Bernard Hopkins

In the end it will all come down to which company they trust more and have the better public image. Oscar despite his personal problems would certainly have better chances in staying in business than these very polarizing rivals, Mayweather and Arum. Assuming TMT will go full time promoting fights with Schaefer. I wonder how Ellerbe feels about all of this, granted that he is the current CEO of Mayweather Promotions. GBP, with Oscar on the lead, will rise from the dead very easily, believe me, and can always do business with both Showtime and HBO. Plus, Mexican sponsors like Corona can easily be persuaded to stay with Oscar, who is Mexican. Duh. Can't wait to see the Greedy overprotective Team get contained in one limited container.

Here is something that people tend to forget..Pepople think thanks to shaeffer golden boy its golden boy...people forgot oscar is has ownership on a soccer team,multiple real estate properties..people think oscar its a pushover but you will see...lets see in 4 years where shaeffer and oscar..richard without golden boy would of been like 50 cents....Richard Schaeffer is like i said multiple timesits the tipical person that got into the business without know anything,once he learned the business,say,hey i do all the work,might as well do it alone..that sometimes work sometimes it doesn't.

Al Haymon is the equivalent to the mafia of the 40's and 50's the way they controlled boxing. This guy's been under the radar for a long time but soon enough we will know a lot more about his role in the sport. Schaffer is gone from GBP, the writing is on the wall and it's only a matter of time. I'd say before Floyds next fight. The issue is the contracts GBP holds on Al's fighters. Expect lots more lawsuits coming his way if he tries to get around those contracts to form a company with RS. Top rank and GB will be doing business together by summer guaranteed.
