booth said on stefan bunce show that Haye's shoulder rehab is coming on better than expected and that he started punching lightly with no ill-effects so far. they are going to run more tests soon to see if he can step it up to next level but the muscle is healing quicker than previously thought...
so there are signs the hayemaker might come back to send shivers across the heavyweight division once again.. although it wouldn't be until early next year..

He'll never be the same again and being inactive for so long isn't going to help either. I feel the heavyweight division is making a slow recovery and Haye's time has passed to make an impact. Haye should just stay retired.
You could be right, he may never be the same again with an injury like that, it's surely going to effect his ability to punch with the same power. But still, even a 60% David Haye probably beats 95% of the heavyweight division.

As far as I remember Vitali told Haye not to take the Chisora fight, whereas Haye said he'd do that fight and then fight Vitali later in the year.
Vitali didn't agree and the rest is history.
nah, it's all on video.. exact date vitali asked for the haye vs chisora fight was 18/2/12 in the post-fight press conference of vitali vs chisora when haye was calling him out. he said he'd fight the winner of haye vs chisora.. we also had the infamous "he glassed me" incident that day - and all those factors combined created a massive buzz for the haye vs chisora fight and the subsequent vital vs haye / chisora winner..
haye vs chisora stuck to their word and fought each other. vitali didn't stick to his word and fight the winner.
Really? That's what happened?
Because I seem to recall Klitschko already being signed to fight Charr prior to Haye even stepping into the ring against Chisora, then Haye retires less than 4 months after beating Chisora.
Revisionist historian much?

I don't have time to debate this all day, so please refer yourself to point number three.
point 3 was addressed a number of posts ago.. vitali asked for haye vs chisora to happen, he said he'd fight the winner..
haye proved himself by fighting exactly the opponent vitali asked him to beat in order to land a fight, but as soon as haye beat chisora then vitali vanished.
vitali had such a tough time with chisora that he probably thought chisora would beat haye which is probably why he asked for haye to fight him in the first place..
haye just can't stay healthy. it's as simple as that. his body can't take fighting more then once a year. he is not the only athlete like this. just bad luck. it's too bad because he brings an excited element to the division but now who is going to sign to fight him? the money would be great if haye can make it too the ring without getting hurt but I think he's had 4 signed contracted fights he's pulled out of (no contract signed for vitali so klit fans keep quiet). that's millions out the door for him so these are not fake injuries. Robert helenius is another injury prone guy too. he's had promotional issues & 2 major injuries the last few years after a promising start to his career. both in their early 30s with their prime wasting away. it's too bad as they were both looking like legit title threats... like them or not they are good for the division.
If he can get in the old form I would like to see him again. He is the 2nd best HW IMO.
I never had prob with his boxing ability (which I do rate), but his professional ethics is horrible.
you missed the point - it was only when vitali realized that Haye vs Chisora was going to happen (and that he had previously agreed to fight the winner of that fight) that he then signed to fight charr instead. he didn't have to do that, he could have waited until the outcome of the fight which was only a few weeks after he signed to fight charr.. but that was no accident, he simply didn't want to face haye or probably even chisora again (because chisora gave him a surprisingly tough fight).. so vitali fought a bum instead and then retired..
I don't have time to debate this all day, so please refer yourself to point number three.
1.) I'm not a Klitschko fan. They're boring cunts and I don't like boring cunts, which is why I dislike Haye. He's alright to watch in the ring, but he spends so much time being a boring injured cunt outside of it that I can't be bothered.
2.) Regarding the bolded, of course it didn't happen until after Haye fought Chisora. Haye fought Chisora in July and Klitschko had previously just fought Chisora in February. 5 months is hardly enough time for someone of Vitali's age to get in shape to fight again.
But he signed to fight Charr a in June. Meanwhile Haye was busy promoting the fight with Chisora as early as February after smashing a that bottle over his face.
3.) Nice talking to you again, Adam. Tell David to either get his ass back in the ring and prove himself or STFU already. Talk is cheap.

lol.. you klitschko fans are some of the worst revisionist historians around so it's ironic that you claim others do that..
after the chisora fight vitali admitted that if chisora was a faster fighter he would have been in trouble... that should give you a clue as to why he avoided haye..
he didn't sign to fight charr until he realized that haye was actually going to fight chisora, the charr fight didn't happen until 2 months after haye knocked out chisora..
and most tellingly, shortly after being knocked out by Haye even Chisora said that vitali should stick to his word, be truthful/honorable and fight haye. but he didn't do that.. he basically disappeared from boxing for a long time and then eventually announced his retirement..

that's exactly what he did by beating chisora.. if you remember vitali said that he'd fight the winner of haye vs chisora in the post-fight press conference of vitali vs chisora..
but as soon as haye knocked out chisora, vitali suddenly vanished.. so haye did earn the fight with vitali by easily beating an opponent that vitali struggled with just 5 months earlier but vitali failed to keep his end of the bargain, which was disappointing to say the least...

No I agree, but he hasn't shown that level of performance at heavyweight against anyone else, let alone a decent challenger.
As I said, if he had followed up on that victory - great. but the whole "i only want to fight a klitschko" was getting old and was quite frankly embarrassing.
He needed to work his way back up with a couple of good wins. Instead we got nothing.
Doubt the Fury's will want to deal with Haye again to be honest.

What, fighting the likes of Audley Harrison and Monte Barrett? Haye avoided/side-stepped all of the main 'threats' in the division, scored a razor thin decision win over Valuev and talked himself into a pay day with and schooling from Wladimir Klitschko.
Can't wait to have him back...
You say what? "Schooling" hahahahah, you guys I hope are not serious. The schooling thing just got so much overused. Tim Bradley "schooled" Marquez even tho it was a very close fight. In Wlad vs Haye both of them didn't want to get caught with anythhing big. Wlad was scared *****less that he would get that overhand right hand from Haye and on the other hand so was Haye. Wlad only landed more jabs and taht won him a fight, but no, it was no schooling.
I was dissapointed about how he fought against Wladimir as he didn't take the risk, but I still think he is a great fighter and one of the best in the heavyweight division.
but that fight alone says a lot if you think about it. Vitali, the HW champ at the time, had a lot of difficulty with Chisora and couldn't even drop him while Haye not only dropped him but stopped him.. no one has looked that good against Chisora, including Vitali.. so basically Haye vastly outperformed Vitali..

So when is the Fury fight back on then? Will we finally get it?
I suppose when Fury is champ he will give haye a shot?
