I didn't think the Guerrero fight would and it didn't. I am not sure if it will or not. If it had a Top Rank undercard then I know it wouldn't but having Khan and Broner on there will help. I am going to say it does about 900K.
That's why Floyd is talking about buying the Clips..trying to mix his name in with the big news stories.[/QUOT
Glad someone noticed.........dat ***** aint tryna buy no damn team
People care because as long as you guys keep paying for fights where one fighter is an 18-1 favorite and it does a mil buys we are never going to see the beat fight the best.
Why do a 50/50 fight for $80mil when you can fight two 18-1 underdogs instead ?
Have Mayweather and Maidana even met face to face yet to promote this fight? I think the first press conference.. they held it separately, Maidana in Argentina and Mayweather in Vegas. I still think it does 1m buys r/t Khan and Broner on the undercard.
I think it does at least a mill... with better promotion it would have snagged more but no less than a mill.
The rematch will have tons of promotions.
No 1 on here cares about ppv#'s anymore
Manny fans do.
Learn how odds are factored and stop spouting whatever comes out of Arum's mouth like it is fact, this isn't an 18-1 fight. :dunce:
If theres a sportsbook that has floyd as a -1800 favorite than it is and theres no way your red bar can spin it
Click on the pic in my sig if you don't believe me
Theres been no buzz about this fight at all except for boxing websites
When Pacquiao vs Bradley 2 happened, Pacquiao was on ESPN, Jimmy Kimmel, etc and Bradley was doing interviews at NBA games.
I don't think Floyd or Maidana did any national network interviews for this fight.
All the sports world has been talking about this week is Donald Sterling so I don't think people really care about this 18-1 mismatch
It's been pretty advertised on Fox Sports En Español. They mention it and bring on Chino every chance they get. During Champions Leaue soccer games, pretty good spot to advertise it.

This ppv will sell over 1 mil. They spent so much promoting this fight and spending so much on the undercard to make it interesting.
Arum needs to take notes on how to make an interesting ppv.
Since Manny has been doing 500-800k no one really cares about 1 mill PPV's being sold. Mayweather-Maidana could to as much Pac-Rios and no anti-Floyd fan would say anything negative about it because they are real boxing fans who don't talk about such things as PPV's numbers.
Precisely. :lol1:
I think so, with Khan and Broner on the card and Maidana beating Broner which added even more hype.
It's a recipe for success. If be surprised if it didn't hit 1mill.

I'm saying 1.1 - 1.3
