once you make your money in boxing, you invest it.
oscar may eclipse george in time. he's got a robust promotional entity, and he owns most of the shares. they're in a strange spot right now, doe, to say the least.
mayweather will probably never pass george. he's an absolute moron with money. he doesn't invest. he spends.
a sportscar is worth much less than you paid for it the second you drive it off of the lot.
Not only that he has his total net worth in his bank account. Having-a-lot-of-money 101 teaches you that you need to invest to, at the very least, keep up with inflation.
Unless he has a financial advisor on the side which isn't out of the realm of possibility...though I swear I remember him posting a bank balance of north of $125 mil.
"at the very least, we know he owns property."
-new england.
rhetoric can simply mean discourse / communication. if you're arguing that you're not being persuasive effectively, which is the more commonly used definition of rhetoric, i'd agree with you. you're certainly not being persuasive.
he can tell robin leech whatever the F#ck he wants about his money. when you spend like that, carry around piles of cash like a drug dealer, and have a well documented, multimillion dollar IRS issue pop up in the middle of your multi million dollar career, it's safe to call you an idiot with money.
Again, there is no rhetoric when I merely stated facts. It is not about being persuasive. But rather presenting facts that counters your opinion. You literally said he was clueless about his money. But then come to find out he's invested in real estate, and who knows what else...
Your only argument is that he spends... totally not knowing how much income he generates, nor how much income his investment generates, which can allow him to spend at a fixed rate without hurting his wealth. I'd be more worried about myself going broke before predicting or caring whether or not a big time millionaire goes broke. Sh*t is silly.
You claimed all he did was spend. But then come to find out, he's invested in real estate. So which is it? There's no rhetoric in what I said.
And yes, on All-Access, that is what he told Robin Leech. If he can say something like that about his finances, it goes to show that MAYBE he's not clueless with his money as you think he is. He seems to know just how much WEALTH he has...

of course it's f#cking rental property.
i invest in real estate. it's one of the things i do for my money / with my money. maybe you're some kind of real estate insider who knows more about it than i do, but i seriously doubt it from looking at your rhetoric.
"he told robin leech he has a million dollars a month for the rest of his life. that means he's not clueless."

Yes, he does own property. But some of that property is RENTAL properties, which should pay for itself. Then keep in mind appreciation factors, as he purchased a bunch of properties long ago.
On Episode 2, All-Access, he told Robin Leech he has about $1 million per month for the rest of his life. So he's not as clueless as you think.

yea I heard he owns real estate
he must have something. at he very least, we know he owns property. he'd be paying so much in taxes if he didn't have some sort of income that wasn't taxed at a lower rate. somebody has to be in his ear about this stuff, even if he doesn't want to hear it.
he's clearly not motivated to be a sound businessman, however. that man spends. that's money that we know he's not investing. he's willing to literally gamble it away.
i don't think mayweather is motivated by money and financial success. that probably sounds funny, but that's how i feel. he's motivated by the lifestyle. he doesn't think of his money in terms of it's capacity for growth. he thinks of it in terms of spending and lifestyle.

I wonder if there was another athlete who passed on the chance and is looking back now like-damn!!
I believe around the same time of the grill, there was a blender that hulk Hogan tried to get going but it didn't take off.
Man, what an idiot.
Very few had ANY idea the Foreman Grill would be soooooooooo successful like that though. Hindsight is a motherf*cker. Hogan had no idea!
Yep this is true, however do you know if he has investments? I'm surprised OScar is not the richest.

Foreman was making five million dollars a month from sales of the grill when they were at their peak. He made that money when he was old enough to know how to use it too. That's something most athletes don't have going for them.
It wasn't Hogans fault, he simply just missed the phone-call. It's not like he turned down the idea to promote the grill. I don't see how that makes him an idiot...
You really believe he just missed the phone call? I'm sure he was contacted in one way or another, and turned it down or just didn't respond.
