I've heard a lot of people say it was but I've never seen the entire fight myself so I can't make any judgment on this. What do you guys honestly think?
Canelo took it to Angulo hard. Angulo was an ATG only for one fight (the Lara fight). How else could he KD the #1 P4P fighter twice? His ATG pressure was only there for that fight, never again.
Angulo was -1 p4p vs Kirkland but James proved to be too much at time being -2 p4p. You know how it works big dawg.
Funny thing is, there is a huge majority that predicted Canelo beating Angulo which were not convinced on his "gutsy" performance.
Shuts down the whole only "Angulo fans thought so" theory.
Canelo took it right to him since the opening round, I think Angulo expected him to box but instead Canelo just beat him post to post, which I think made Angulo hesitant to commit to his punches, and even when he did put some power into them like in the 8th round, it had no effect on Canelo
No it wasn't rigged! Dur. Angulo simply decided to gently stroke Canelo throughout the fight in a miserable attempt to show him who's boss. It seems Lara really took it out of el piero.
My girlfriend has never been to a fight before this one. We had decent seats. She keep asking me babe why wont the one with the braids swing harder. She just like I spotted a couple times Angulo could have hit Canelo with some clean counters. I don't know if it was rigged or not but my girlfriend who's never been to a fight, thought Angulo was fight at 60,70 and not going his hardest.
Angulo didn't have braids in this fight.
I don't think it was rigged , but idk what angulo was thinking with those pitty pad punches. The entire fight I'm like wher the ***k is the angulo from the Lara fight.
You can't tell me the Angulo that fought Lara was the same Angulo that fought Canelo. The fights were 9 months apart and a lot can change about a fighter in that time, especially after the previous battles catch up to them. Fighters age at different rates depending on many factors. Angulo just seemed off with Canelo and he should really think about retiring soon because he just doesn't have it anymore.
they're 2 different fighters. canelo is heavier handed and more busy. lara is also a southpaw and you gotta take into account that angulo likes hooking left to the body, which is a great weapon against a lefty.
angulo has possibly been overrated. cintron outboxed him. lets see where ALL of these fighters go from here. it could just be a style thing. you guys are making it sound like angulo would lose to ishe smith or something
angulo didnt look like himself. but canelo aint no slouch and he landed some heavy artillery early on. i'll give boxing the benefit of the doubt. and give mayweather his damn credit. if pac gets credit for cotto then may should get it for nelo.
Lara tards started this sh** because it exposes Lara for the overrated bum that he is.

Picked Canelo to do exactly what he did, because let's face it. Angulo isn't that good.
Blah blah blah Lara fight.
Angulo is good , he is good at making fighters like Lara look like they are the best P4P fighters.
Canelo will beat the pound for pound out of Lara and send him back to being a "Big Fish in a small pond (Cuba)"
if you've never even seen it then wtf ask? and hell no canelo just beat the living shiat out of the dog
Becuase I was curious as to what you guys thought about the whole situation. Simple.
I did feel like Angulo didn't put much power behind most of his shots and looked like an amateur in there and didn't throw his shots with conviction. Perhaps the previous battles he had and the media attention got to him with this fight and it didn't help that Canelo went in there from the opening bell with guns blazing. Later in the fight Angulo started throwing his shots with more conviction but he was already too beat up and the ref stepped in before Angulo's face became a complete mess. I just wonder where that fire was the entire fight with Angulo and by the time he found it, it was too late. Canelo had done too much damage up to that point and the fight was stopped.
No it wasn't. People wanted a reason to call Canelo a hypejob, they thought Angulo would give him all he could handle. When Canelo manhandled him, they had no choice but to say it was a fixed fight. Give Canelo credit? No way!
It was the same Angulo who fought Lara. Canelo is just a different fighter. He's also bigger and stronger than Lara. Angulo couldn't back him up against the ropes to land his punches. It was Canelo who pushed him back at times, ripping him with vicious power punches.
Angulo did look slow and weak, but keep in mind he was getting tagged from round 1. Canelo shocked him.
