Is Canelo skilled enough to pull out a win against Pacquiao? I say, maybe...
I know the weight difference is pretty big but, Canelo is not really a fighter who goes to war, nor is he fast handed. Canelo has stamina issues, and tends to muff up when combinations are thrown at him. His footwork is not necessarily bad...but it ain't that good either, he's slow when it comes to movement. He has to put in a lot of work before he tries to fight a world class/elite fighter who will bring it to him for 12 rounds!
Unless Canelo fought a perfect fight (smart, works his ass off on countering) I see Pacquiao pulling out a stoppage win similar to the Cotto fight. I like the kid, but just cause he was thoroughly outboxed and outclassed against Floyd and made it to the final bell means nothing and says nothing about his chances against Pacquiao, as they (Floyd and Manny) are complete opposites.
I will say this...Canelo is improving with every fight, I'm just not sold on him being the next big thing unless he beats the living hell out of Lara and goes on to beat another big name/proven fighter and does it in a big way!
I actually think Canelo is faster and fundamentally more skilled than Bradley, and at this stage of Pacquiao's career I think Canelo easily beats him.based on what, beating angulo or getting outboxed by floyd for 12 rounds
At 152 If canelo does not KO pac in the 1st half of the fight I think pac's speed and cardio takes over and wears canelo out. But like I said it would only take one good shot from canelo to put pac's lights out due to the size advantage.
He won't need skills to beat him, if Bradley was winging wild hayemakers and hurting Pacquiao imagine what a much bigger, more accurate Canelo will do to Manny? I honestly don't view this as a fair and legit fight because either Canelo will be too big and heavy for MP or he'll be too drained to compete.bradley is much faster and more skilled than canelo though, so that argument doesn't hold much ground
Canelo doesnt have elite speed like pac and mayweather, hes only fast compared to guys like angulo and trout. And we all saw how he froze up to speed from a light punching guy like floyd.
I think the weight could be a bit too much, hed be even bigger than margarito. But theres a good chance pac would box him to a UD.
I also disagree with your statement that Canelo dues not have fast hands. If he doesn't have fast hands then nobody has fast hands. He throws very fast combinations. Mayweather said Canelo will be the next superstar and that he looked sensational in his last fight.
I think Canelo would win. He looked great last fight. He might beat Mayweather in a rematch at the full weight of 154. Pacquiao could easily fight at 135 and Canelo can barely make 154. He is over 20 pounds bigger than Pacquiao and he is a damn good fighter in his own weight class as I think his next fight will show. Pacquiao is a great little fighter but Canelo is way too big for him and Pacquiao already clearly said he is never again fighting above 147 right after Margarito hurt him with body punches. The last thing he is going to do is fight a big 154 pounder who is a great bodypuncher.

i disagree with the bolded. He is fast handed ask suga shane...
styles make fights I think you should wait until after the lara fight to ask this question ..Angulo not only stood there he was way to slow to even throw punches back ..

he's not beating pac with skills, if he wins it'll be from the weight of his punches wearing pacquiao down and hurting him everytime lands
otherwise pacquiao dances circles around him
