Aaron Pryor vs Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

Pryor by KO Floyd would have to stop running and stand down on his punches to try to survive the onslaught, and that would be his demise. Arguello, with the best right hand short of Tommy Hearns and a left hook in the Roberto Duran category couldn't keep Pryor at bay and I don't think Floyd has the guts to take the punishment he'd have to take to beat a buzz saw like Aaron Pryor. No Way!

I am pretty sure Mayweather would easily win that fight and probably win by KO. You never know for sure until the fighters share a ring and this is a fantasy fight. I think Mayweather wins because Mayweather is a little bit bigger and much faster. Mayweather is a precision boxer while Pryor was a hard punching, wild swarmer who threw lots of hard punches every round. Pryor was always going forward on the attack but he was not hard to hit and was hit often with straight rights. The straight right is Mayweather's lightning fast and deadly accurate best punch. I think he would be hitting Pryor with this punch often enough to win the fight.

Loved Pryor,but I'd have to go with Mayweather..Footwork and accurate punching would win him a decision..I believe he'd have rough spots tho,Pryor has fast feet and never stops punching,even when he get's clocked..I think this would be a fun fight tbh,esp prime for prime..

A defensive boxer would ruin Pryors night. Cervantes managed to be a nuisance for as long as he lasted by making Pryor miss and countering him. Cervantes was shot at that stage. Wild and off balance swinging is not going to get the best of Mayweather. Posted from Boxingscene.com App for Android

Pryor was a great fighter, but a sucker for the straight right...is chin is right there to be hit when he punches....dropped Kid Pambele who was near 40 if not older, Arguello landed clean, monster shots and he was dropped by lesser guys in the early round of fights Pryor would simply get outboxed in a competitive fight. He will throw a lot, land a few and make it exciting but Floyd will systematically turn the style of fight to his own. With Aaron speed, tenacity, strength and power he was used to either outspeeding guys or overwhelming them. With Mayweather he would face someone who is harder to hit than himself, faster, counterpunches great. I cant see him winning this fight. Just a bad style match up for a truely great fighting in Pryor
