Pretty simple guys, after Manny's great start to 2014, Floyd's scheduled meeting with Maidana, the announcement of Froch/Groves II, boxing is looking good this year. So, who are the top 25 fighters going into this years big fight season?
Make your lists and lets share. No stupid **** like Maidana top 5 p4p or Hops top 10. If you wana do that and bring an agenda, you can fuk right off.
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Andre Ward
3. Manny Pacquiao
4. Timothy Bradley
5. Sergio Martinez
6. Wladimir Klitschko
7. Guillermo Rigondeaux
8. Carl Froch
9. Adonis Stevenson
10. Danny Garcia
11. Saul Alvarez
12. Gennady Golovkin
13. Ruslan Provodnikov
14. Sergey Kovalev
15. Lucas Matthysse
16. Takashi Uchiyama
17. Roman Gonzalez
18. Mikey Garcia
19. Bernard Hopkins
20. Leo Santa Cruz
21. Marco Huck
22. Carl Frampton
23. Marcos Maidana
24. Akira Yaegashi
25. Nonito Donaire
JMM I left out because I no longer think he can beat the majority of guys in and around his division at the highest level. If he can beat Alvarado I'll give him 25.
I havent got anything to grind for Chino, I like him, exciting fighter but he lost to Khan, Kotelnik, barely beat Alexander, beat Broner which was good stuff and a past it guy at 147. Not all that impressive if you ask me. If you think Chino gets in then so should Khan and Porter.
and blind boy, if u can read, Roman Gonzalez is in there.
Crawford and Vazquez don't deserve but i wouldnt argue if some punk had him 20-25.
wait wat happened...
I haven't made a pound for pound list for years, but I had a go and here's what I came up with.
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Andre Ward
3. Guillermo Rigondeaux
4. Roman Gonzalez
5. Gennady Golovkin
6. Erislandy Lara
7. Terence Crawford
8. Mikey Garcia
9. Juan Manuel Marquez: Marquez showed he's not the fighter he used to be vs Bradley, but he schooled Pac in the third fight, iced him in the fourth fight, and I think would beat him in a pointless fifth fight so has to be above him
10. Manny Pacquiao
11. Saul Alvarez
12. Juan Francisco Estrada
13. Sergey Kovalev
14. Bernard Hopkins
15. Kazuto Ioka
16. Sergio Martinez
17. Vasyl Lomachenko: If not for poor pacing, would've beaten a much bigger, dirty Salido, and beats Gonzalez, Mares, Donaire
18. Miguel Vazquez
19. Yuriorkis Gamboa
20. Shinsuke Yamanaka
21. Carlos Molina
22. Naoya Inoue
23. Carl Frampton
24. Adonis Stevenson
25. George Groves
26. Thabiso Mchunu
27. Robert Guerrero
28. Ray Beltran
29. Leo Santa Cruz
30. Miguel Cotto
Missed the cut:
Keith Thurman: He's beaten pretty good brawlers, but needs to beat a decent boxer before I'm sold on him, I'd love to him against Guerrero
The Charlos: One of them boxed masterfully vs Rosado, but I can't tell them apart so won't put either of them in.
Wladimir Klitschko: Being an established, even great heavyweight champion doesn't earn a free pass on pound for pound lists. Shrink him down to the size of the above and Klitschko loses. Has no inside game, and his knockout losses can't be ignored.
Takashi Uchiyama: From I've seen he isn't quite as good as his countrymen Ioka, Yamanaka, or Inoue.
Timothy Bradley: He's an overacheiver who's only had the success he has from athleticism and toughness. He's sloppy, has below average defence, and is mentally inconsistent.
Nonito Donaire: Has devolved into a one dimensional slugger, was losing and looked like garbage against Darchinyan till he knocked him out, has always benefited from size advantages
Danny Garcia: Solid fighter, shown he can counter a puncher and outpunch decent boxers, but in his inability to handle the savvy movement and jab of Herrera showed he isn't elite.
Lucas Matthysse: Maybe the hardest puncher in boxing, sets his power up with precise technique, but has shown he doesn't have an answer for fighters with both movement and a solid chin.
Carl Froch: I don't deny his resume, but he's always been limited, has slow feet, and won't beat Groves in the rematch.
Marcos Maidana: Loved the Broner fight, he's added a few wrinkles to his skill lately, but still just isn't elite and will be shutout vs Mayweather

Well, I think this list is stupid anyway because clearly you left JMM.
Deserves higher spot than ruslan.. matthysse..on merit alone. Kovalev too that guy hasnt had any steps up in class. Unless u mean cleverly.
but I see you have an axe to grind against Chino.. carry on.
Maidana top 5 p4p. :bottle:
but yeah dont know why you have some guys higher. He should be top 15 at least at this point.
no, just no lol each one of those names is better than he is.
