It speaks very well for Manny that he can beat someone as good as Bradley when he looks that bad compared to his prime.
Like I said in one of my other posts, Manny's career post prime reminds me a bit of Ali and Leonard post prime, even when all their natural gifts dissolved into dust, they still managed to beat the very best.
I think ward is the second best fighter on the planet,,,
Him being inactive has no bearing on how good he actually is...
H2h he would be the betting favorite over anyone not named Floyd.. That's why I have him #2 and have had him there since the froch win...
So after a year of inactivity you take him out, then when he fights you put him back to #2 again no matter who the opponent is?
I'm putting more emphasis on the skill set than his wins.
In the end though, everyone's P4P is different and based on eveyone's opinion.
I'm sure people put Floyd back up in top 3 after his 2 year retirement fighting Marquez based on his skillset
That win stuck him back in for me because he fought again.
I'm not basing the Rodriguez win on his status.... I already know how skillful he is

He hit the year mark between Dawson and Rodriguez.
Or does beating Rodriguez automatically reinstate him to #2?
Can Ward just keep fighting a bum once every 14 months and keep his #2 spot?

Nope... Ward inactive, but he hasn't hit that year mark yet

I'm a big fan of Andre Ward and although I'm not sure Manny advances to p4p #2 with his performance on Saturday night,I agree Ward's inactivity is killing him.
However ,all you types piling on with "Ward was never that good anyway, etc. etc..." and variations: You are not fooling anybody. Not hard to tell that you're mostly (all?) butthurt Froch or Kessler fans.
The difference between Bradley and Manny is the difference between very good and great. Very good is still very good, but great is just better which is exactly what I saw play out in both fights.
Now I wouldn't put him above Andre Ward because I think Ward is the better fighter at this moment in time, I can feel for arguing Manny being ahead but I don't think he is the superior fighter between the two.
I think dawson was a nice win... i still consider dawson to be a good fighter... edwin not so much, hopefully ward fights again this year. if not, then its getting a bit ridiculous
How good is Bradley??? most say he lost both Manny fights take those away who has he defeated?
Witter in England
Holt
Peterson
Alexander
Provodnikov
Marquez
Is it a great resume? No. Is it pretty good? Yes, and Bradley earned every bit of the respect he had. He's a good fighter and a hard guy to beat.

100% agreed, Pac won, quite easily but he was far from his best and missed a lot. It's an ugly win but a win none the less, sometimes even the greats have to win ugly.

What does his age or amount of fights have to do with his performance?
I don't think he dominated the fight firstly and secondly just because you win a fight comfortably doesn't mean you look good doing it.
He did however perform well enough to be considered a Top P4P fighter so it's not that bad really. Just bad for Pacquaio's standard that we've been used to seeing.

Please stop embarrassing yourself floydiot alt. Just pretend you are dead and just disappear.
so because I dont think Pacquaio is #2 p4p (which most boxing experts would agree) I'm a floydiot? lol
Just because you are inactive for a year, doesn't mean you start over. Pac gets KO'd, is inactive for a year as well, so did beating Rios warrant a return to top 10 p4p? same with Floyd, he is inactive all the time but retains the #1 or #2 spot immediately when he returns
I didn't say it does. That's what the poster said.
I don't have Ward low because of inactivity I have some low because he hasn't done anything of note in years.
