At 35 years of age, when most consider he is on the decline, he not only beats a slick fighter in his prime who is top 3 P4P but dominates him. To beat such a fighter in the way that he does, which is on the offensive and throwing flurries, it is truly an amazing thing to witness. To watch the composed, in control Bradley versus Marquez and compare it to the one Pacquiao mentally and physically beat last night is truly incredible.
When was the last time Floyd faced a slick African American boxer in his prime? And by African American I mean no disrespect, the fact is most African American fighters are VERY crafty and skilled in regards to their movement and speed.
DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, Guerrero, Canelo (who he made come down 2 pounds / had Pacquiao done the same with Bradley he would've finished him) ... are all stationary targets (most out of their prime) with little upper body / head movement.
Pacquiao has set the standard so high that anything short of a KO/TKO seems like a dissapointment. Yet Floyd, fighting lesser opposition, only has to dominate the fight in order to get credit; which is what Pacquiao has been doing for the past few years. And people forget he couldn't stop Clottey or Mosley during his monster run, he just shut them down. It is also to be expected that Floyd is more accurate since he waits for the opportunities to counter where as Pacquiao looks for them due to his offensive oriented style.
I sincerely feel as if Pacquiao is the best fighter from our generation and one of the most impressive fighters of all time. And needless to say, Mayweather is also one of the best from this generation but I honestly feel as if Pacquiao is another type of phenomenon that we all subconsciously hold to a higher standard and with good reason.
He won but to be honest i saw no domination at all...this fight seemed to be closer then the 1st fight
How can you appreciate a boxer's skills if you're too BS to Floyd?
Manny already beat him 2 yrs ago lol wtf. Would u give Floyd any credit for fighting canelo next May and winnig again?
Bradley beat the guy who KOed Manny. So it's like saying, "IF Canelo beat the guy that beat Floyd, and then faced Floyd again, would Floyd get the credit?"
Canelo has not done anything to give us reason that he can beat Floyd. Canelo didn't do anything to believe that he can beat Floyd the first time either.
Lara will be a good test to see if Canelo gained any experience and learned something from taking on Floyd.
Agree with a lot posted in this thread. We have different expectations of Manny due to the fact that he was a true force of nature for a while. He's older, and he's slowed down a bit, but the remarkable bit is that he's still great even in decline. He's just changed. He's more human now, but he truly is special. What a guy, really. One of the greatest ever.
It will be looked at as a great win at a later stage in his career which will be a testament to his greatness when it's all said and done.
I doubt he retires. He is trying to stay around hoping that Mayweather finally says yes so he can close his career with a banger.

Its like Kareem winning the Finals MVP in 1985.
Not as DEVASTATING as when he was primed but still better than the competition. cmon. Bradley is a young undefeated champion.
Floyd 'WOULD' beat Pacquiao i have to admit. but i like to see it. Pac had big surprises before.
i think i recall larry refusing to look at the first fight as a pac win, saying to look at the official verdict.
all in all hes giving him credit atleast. larry an ATG
So you agree Manny beat an undefeated p4p even though Manny is in definite decline?
Larry definitely did agree with jealousy, coz beating bradley twice convincingly is on high standards on pacs resume compared to his boytoys padded undefeated record!!
Pac just beat a prime elite fighter on his prime that floyd has not done, and pac beat bradley twice convincingly!
Exactly, people subconsciously must believe Pacman is the better fighter, when Pac potshots his way to a win similar to Floyd Guerrero he's a shot bum, when Floyd potshots his way to a win he's the GOAT.
When Pac doesn't KTFO his opponents or brutalize them he must be shot. smh.
That's the thing and the intent of this thread, to show the higher standard people subconsciously hold Manny to in comparison to Floyd. Which is a testament in my opinion to his greatness and place in boxing.
Manny is the man, one of his best wins ever, makes me kinda wish he goes out on top!!!

Pacquiao's greatness is so astonishing that alot of people can't even fully appreciate it while its happening
Pac has already done things that no other boxer has done, 8 division world champ, 4 lineal world titles.
Bradley is a good fighter. Pacquiao is a great fighter. That was the difference last night.
I can picture 20 years or so from now Pacquiao specials on ESPN, being exalted as one of the best ever and Floyd making a cameo on the special as the one who avoided him most. That is the reputation he will always have and the big question mark and asterisk that will stain his career when looked back upon.
Pacquiao is definitely the greatest fighter of this generation. People who like to hate on him for whatever reason need to wake up and appreciate what we've been witnessing. I imagine Floyd fans are insecure because their guy might not be greater, but you know what? There's no shame in being the second greatest fighter behind Pacquiao.
Great post. Pacquiao is one of the most impressive fighters of ALL TIME. He's an offensive phenomenon and he has accomplished everything he has in a fan friendly style which is even harder to do.
one thing is for sure that a past prime pac is still a force to reckon with. we cannot deny that pac lost some of his speed but still got more than enough to give bradley his 2nd lost (IMO, Pac won the 1st fight as well) as in many outings.
safe to say that pac is back! fraud you're next! :afro:
Much so that Floyd is still avoiding him up to this day. We are talking about 5 years and counting, and he is still avoiding the fight at all costs. But again, it is easy to see why and last night was a good example of why.
You can bet Marquez will follow suit and avoid another encounter with Pacquiao.
If Bradley would of beat manny last night, if would of been "oh we told ya manny can't deal with slick fighters" lol, ya ninjas funny.
You can bet on it lol. "Imagine what Floyd would do to him" ... "Who's #1 P4P Floyd or Bradley"... etc etc.
PAC is amazing even as I saw him last night as a declined fighter. He beat a LEGIT opponent who has not just won his last fight but beat credible upcoming names in the past. NO BRADLEY isn't a GREAT like Floyd or Pac so the class isn't supposed to be in their realm. Let's face it not many fighters like those two around right now. I bet if we have all other fighters around their weight class they would have trouble fighting each other while Pac and Floyd make them look ducking silly.
I truly appreciate both fighters in the ring but when it comes to out of the ring, personality etc then it only makes sense Pac is favored. Unless your a jack ass then you may favor Floyd more.
Either way, we are lucky to have two top tier fighters to watch!!
Now if Floyd didn't give us more obvious cherry picking then I'd be a little happier!
He beat a top P4P opponent at a weight he felt comfortable with. For a 35 year old fighter who is supposedly on the decline this is a pretty amazing feat. Again, there is no doubt that Pacquiao has lost a step or two but to not recognize his greatness just because he didn't stop him is absurd considering Floyd gets full credit for doing the same thing and in a more boring manner.
Pacquiao truly is the greatest fighter of his generation.
His record speaks for itself, Bradley is probably better than any Mayweather win since DLH or even Castillo.
But Pacquiao really has declined alot, i don't see him beating Mayweather if they fought in their next fights (after May beats Maidana).
He won but to be honest i saw no domination at all...this fight seemed to be closer then the 1st fight
So you agree Manny beat an undefeated p4p even though Manny is in definite decline?
When was Bradley ever top 3? He barely beat and was almost KO'd by Prov and had a really close fight with Marquez before this fight.
Just another floydiot alt,
You ****ers must have wet ur panties, coz u we the one hoping for bradley to make pac retire and considered bradley a legitimate contender,
Floydiots- i will log in with my alt now to flip flop and discredit mannys win!
Damn bradly didnt do his job, now my idol will have to fight manny and would think for three or four versions of excuse after his sparring session ends.
