I forced myself not to look. I was too engrossed in the fight, and also felt it was a bit voyeuristic focusing on a mother losing her mind over her son being in a very dangerous situation. But I'd be lying if I didn't admit that family members being there adds to the drama and emotion of the occasion. Again, just hits home how high the stakes are. I find it makes for very uncomfortable viewing. Maybe it serves a purpose in reminding some fans that it's someone's son in there, but when they linger on someone in distress like Pacquiao's mother was, I don't know man. It just seems like they're exploiting it. They went overboard with it last night.
