So does anyone know about the current state of the career of one Ryota Murata, who is he fighting next? First Japanese fellow to win an Olympic gold in quite some time and the only one to ever do it at Middleweight. Saw him dismantle Nascimento in February and thought he looked pretty good doing it. Not a power puncher for sure but good hand speed and great body punching.
Middleweights the most competitive area so I personally don't see him going far (not because of any lack of skill in his department but because of the incredibly deep and surging talent pool at superwelter, middle, and super middle) but it would be great for Japan to have a superstar in a weightclass the rest of the world cares about (the country lives and breathes boxing). I just want to hear people's thoughts and critiques on the fighter. Best thing since Fighting Harada?
Any one know of anywhere to watch the fight he just had with Jesus Angel Nerio? I don't know what happened but I'm trying not to find out without watching.
Hey it says on boxrec that's not till next month

He was fast tracked....hell of a three fight start to a career. Still has things to work on, but I think he'll either be back in July in Macau or a later date. Dude has no shot at a title until the champs leave or retire. Best chance is the interim WBA, but that'd mean you'd be the regular WBA's mando
I'm following Ryota as well.He seems to have very good power decent speed but defensively he can be very open and alt of the time when he is stalking a fighter he will just follow them instead off stepping to their right or left and attempt too cut of the ring.Still though for a guy who is 3-0 he has fought pretty good opp for this stage of his career
