Rubio vs Quillin: Who wins

uill Yeah, I don't think it was a clear rosado win, but it wasn't a clear quillen win either.... It was a really close fight and should have had a rematch once rosado healed up Dunno about that - I think Kid U/C was up, it was more that Gabe was coming on strong with a few rounds left - made it look like a strategic stoppage. The cards were appalliing tho -as with the JLL fight - Gabe was gonna screwed one way or another, a lesson that won't have gone unnotiiced by other 'indie' fighters. Rubio is a good fight for Undercard, I might enjoy disparaging PQ but he's not a bad fighter, just not really elite. Solid fight - I might even slightly favour Quillin although it'd probably be his toughest test to date. I'm with Houg on this one - would be a good fight (and FWIW - Geale - Macklin is a very good one for me too).

Rubio in his senior age poses major threats for Quillin. For that reason, Peter takes a swerve to instead maybe fight Spada.

Very tough fight. Rubio is not great, but he can punch. He's bigger and more accomplished than Quillin's last few opponents. If Quillin shows up in the same shape he showed up in against Rosado, he probably loses. I'd love to see Rubio force the issue with the WBO. Unfortunately, he'll probably go after the real title held by Martinez. That means Quillin doesn't have to fight a real opponent and Martinez has to waste his time. It's also possible that Quillin would duck Rubio. Rubio isn't old, non top 10, or a 154 lber.
