Hogging Showtime to themselves?
Seriously, with exception to the cannon fodder they get on loan from Goosen, what other promoter have they worked with in the States?
Chris Mannix@ChrisMannixSI 25m
Heard during #CunninghamMansour fight week: @Main_Events offered @Showtime_Curtis to @GoldenBoyBoxing to fight @KIDCHOCOLATE. GBP declined.
Reminds me ir sudden interest in the LHW division after it was not in depth enough to invest in....now they want nothing but the LHW division
That's not what the thread is about. U going on rants about something outside the realm of anything I'm saying. GBP works with other promoters. They have no issue doing it in fact. U dint like them, u dint like haymon. Cool. But that doesn't change the point. I think u guys try too hard. There's plenty to whine n complain about. Gbps work with other promoters isn't one of them. They've made big fights copromo and they've made small fights copromo. There really is no argument.
You asked who, I had some examples. Its not as easy to find examples of non GBP/Haymon fighters featured on Showtime lately, unless brought in cheap as huge underdogs or low budget shobox. That's understandable, theres only so much money and these guys rosters are big and expensive.
It was GBP/Haymon from the beginning. How's this a surprise to you now? You don't follow much boxing? Never heard these "GBP rift" rumors? Never noticed Haymon's influence at Showtime? Amazing.
Espinoza vetoed Kovalev last year in favor of huge underdog Murat. Quillin has no decent competition with GBP/Haymon. They're really only strong at 140-154, and even there there's plenty of strong comp outside. We saw the gulf in class between Garcia and "bum" Herrera, and buma$$ Paulie is a major factor in GBP welter ranks

Top Rank can still sell the fights to Showtime if they want.
This will be ignored.
They tried to get Donaire/Mares signed but instead Arum got his prized pig Nonito outboxed for just over a million :lol1:
Q: Why does GBP refuse to work with other promoters? They have a monopoly on Showtime.
A: Well, that's not quite true. Iron Mike Promotions is on Showtime for example....
Q: Yeah but what I mean is that GBP isn't putting their fighters in with other promoters.
A: Well, what about Murat and Johnny Gonzalez and Lucas Konecny and...
Q: What I really mean is that they only bring in other promoters when the opponent is expected to lose.
:lol1:
If you guys keep moving the goal posts you'll win the argument eventually.
HBO doesn't do that doe.
Now it's GBP/haymon not just GBP. Seriously u look stupid. Who are these world class fighters that these other promoters have that GBP fighters arent fighting? The silliness in this thread is astounding

Theres no goalpost moving, that was in my first post. If youre not gbp/haymon, you better be bringing a 10-1 underdog for peanuts. Thats exactly what a house network would di. Gbp/Haymon dont have a large supply of low paid patsies i think.

Is Iron Mike's people fighting GBP fighters or are they just on Showtime?
Ohhhh Showtime cool with Murat, but not Kovalev?
Name other promoters other than the fodder provided by Shaw that they've used.
Lou and Jo Jo Dan wanted Thurman, nothing
Stevens, Mora, Truax, Macklin all requested Quillin, none are evidently worthy to Quillin, who is evidently avoided.
They do only bring in people when they're expected to lose.
Johnny was expected to lose after he lost to PDL and Abner blasted him. Tell that to everone that picked against Johnny and his +1000 odds.
Konencky.... are you freaking kidding me?
Iron Mike is on friday night shobox.

It's ridiculous. That's why I stopped. A bulk of gbps fighters are at jww, ww, and jmw. They have basically the whole talent pool at those weights and for the most part, those fighters fight each other at those weights. Now imagine if GBP didn't make fights between those fighters. U can't have it both ways. But ppl will whine n complain n bellyache

You're response didn't need to go any further than this really. You proved the TS wrong. Good night all :)
You forgot about the low paid patsy part lol
Calling names? Are you a child?
Trout and Gonzalez had excellent chances to win over big names just last year, and one did.
Trout is Haymon advised and Gonzalez was a 10-1 underdog. Try again career troll
Gbp works with other promoters all the time. Not sure where this question is coming from. In fact the do it more often than top rank.
Of course they do.
Murat, Konecny, Guerrero, etc.... they're with other people.
Goosen the only "big" one they seem to be working with Stateside.
Off the top of my head, don't really remember if they worked with Lou, Duva or to a lesser extent, Banner.
They might have.... I don't know all their fighters.
As i said theyll work with other promoters to bring a 10-1 patsy who'll fight for peanuts. Thats hardly equal opportunity dumbo

Ok so why bring it into the thread.
You just listed a bunch of co promotions yourself :lol1:
