We all know the RING are trashy when it comes to ratings. It took them a long time to realise Rigo was P4P worthy and had placed Broner and Canelo in undeserving positions.
Chuck Giampa is the person behind the Ring's ratings. His latest rating change is retarded for one glaring omission.
Tony Thompson.
After beating Solis (ranked 8th by Ring) and easily being considered a top 10 fighter by most pundits this writer believes Tony can't make the cut because he has failed in big fights.
What idiotic reasoning is that? Using that concept, you may as well wash away most fighters from these lists.
Heavyweight: No. 8-rated Odlanier Solis (20-2-1, 13 knockouts) dropped a split-decision to veteran gatekeeper Tony Thompson. Solis will be dropped from the ratings. Thompson, who has been rated in THE RING’s top 10 before, will not enter due to his losses in big fights. Unbeaten American standout Bryant Jennings (18-0, 10 KOs) will enter at the No. 10 spot, while Deontay Wilder and Tomasz Adamek both move up one notch to Nos. 9 and 8.

Not really, he was never all that to begin with in the first much less at heavy.
he looked real solid against golota and aereolla. he's really regressed ever since
Adamek clearly beat Eddie Chambers. Eddie went into a shell and hardly threw a punch is many of the rounds.
The fight with Cunningham was close, I scored it 115-113 for Adamek who took the fight to his opponent. Cunningham probably could have won if he would have stood his ground and fought more instead of running.
Commentator BJ Flores was rooting for his buddies Chambers and Cunningham and was giving them more credit than they deserved, while being blind to Adamek's punches.
Adamek didn't clearly beat Chambers at all. That was a close fight.
Scoring Adamek over Cunningham is baffling to me.
Now let's for arguments sake say he won both of those fights.
They were still heading toward 2 years ago and he's done absolutely nothing since. Including lose his last fight.
He's not Top 10 at HW. Well, shouldn't be.
Adamek has not been the same since the Klitschko beating in his hometown. He's looked awful ever since.
He should be off the list.

Very true unsurprisingly that was a career shortening beating.
Adamek's a tough guy but even without the recent loss he doesn't belong on a Top 10 list but I can see the argument but after the recent loss? Come on.
The HW division is not great but it's not so bad that a current Adamek is amongst the 10 best fighters in it.
Resume? What's his resume at HW?
Last meaningful fight was Cunningham, a fight which he clearly lost and looked awful.
His last meaningful fight before that was Eddie Chambers. Another fight I felt he lost (Close fight)
His last meaningful win before that was Arreloa which was 4 years ago.
His resume at HW is pretty piss poor, let's be honest.
He's done nothing at HW, for years. Even if you count the Cunnginham win as a win (Which it wasn't) that was like a year and a half ago.
He has no place in the Top 10 at HW.
Thompson should be there over Adamek any day of the week. His two wins over Price and his win over Solis are better than anything Adamek has ever done at HW and they were recent wins aswell.

Resume and activity during the past few years.
He was competitive in the last three rounds of his fight with Glazkov (as if to say "I'm not finished yet").
He took a bad beating, but showed tremendous heart. Anyone who doesn't like a ring warrior like Adamek isn't a real boxing fan, or has some kind of agenda against Poles.

Why the hell is Helenius still on there?
Adamek must be taken off the list. He's looked really bad in his last 4 fights and took a beating at the hands of Czar Glazkov.

The guy is an epic moron. Possibly a criminal. As far as this issue IDC.
I don't really care much about the order between most of these guys, but the one that's truly wasting space in the list is Helenius. Hasn't done anything of note in years.
Joke reasoning from Giampa. Thompson is top 10, just because he lost to the Champ Klitschko and #1 contender Pulev doesn't mean he should be overlooked for opponents who haven't proven anything.
