My money is on money. Reason why I feel he would be in better shape and would adapt to ray and then drown him also feels his boxing iQ and ring General ship is better.
I think the fight could go either way honestly. Sugar is the better fighter offensively while Floyd is clearly the better defensive fighter. I can see Sugar hurting Floyd but idk if Floyd could hurt sugar at WW being that he is the bigger man of the 2. 58/42 spilt for Sugar.
You dudes handle emotions like women. Can't give an answer without being blinded by hatred.
Too bad SRL doesn't agree with most of you. He obviously thinks, at the very least, they should be mentioned in the same sentence. He also admits, his brother Roger, who gave him the strategy to defeat Duran said that he could not beat Floyd.

First of all, what do you mean "he would be in better shape"?
You are proposing a fight of two different eras of boxing. Shouldn't we all assume that both fighters would be in prime shape?
If so, neither fighter would have an advantage in that area.
That said, I'd have to go with Ray Leonard. Unlike Mayweather, Leonard became great by fighting other great fighters in their prime. Because of that, he'd be much better equipped to deal with the kind of pressure and adversity that come with truly challenging fights.
Also, Ray Leonard was a master at figuring out and exploiting his opponents' weaknesses, and picking just the right moment in each round to win over the judges.
So, assuming that Al Haymon had nothing to do with this fight, I see Leonard winning it hands down.
Ray Leonard takes it as he had too much in his offensive arsenal, even for Mayweather Jr's defence.
He was an even bigger manipulator in negotiations so Jr couldn't beat him there either.
SRL vs Mayweather Sr was actually very competitive.
Mayweather Jr is 1000 better than Sr with a more improved style. I can see an argument on FMJ winning
Competitive? Are you sure that you have watched it? Competitive was one thing it most definitely wasnt, Floyd was game and brave but took an absolute beating.
SRL didn't even beat Mayweather Sr easily in his prime, how would he beat Jr easily?
Let me guess... you take Floyd Sr's word for it? Because he got his ass whooped from pillar to post in that fight.

In what world was Floyd Sr. competitive?
plus you have to factor in that SRL stood and traded with duran for 15 rounds, he didnt even try and box him like he did in the 2nd fight..
Let floyd stand and trade for 15 rounds and see what happens
That is a very accurate statement. While Floyd didn't trade with Baldomir and the rest of them! Floyd was OK with getting booed!
SRL tried to outslug the slugger dURAN so lost. He would box Floyd and beat him like he did his dad.
Im sure Senior has told Floyd hed have no chance against SRL>
Along with Mike Tyson, SRL and Floyd are my favorite all time fighters. I remember being a kid and watching SRL and for my money, nobody was more entertaining, flashy, showman like, etc, and Ray did fight some all time greats and he deserves his top five P4P all time status, but he wasn't anywhere close to Floyd defensively, and I also thinkFloyds stamina and counter punching would have given him the edge. Close fight though. 115-113 Floyd, Floyd would have cruised through Duran and all the rest from that era, with the exception of Tommy Hearns. Hearns is the one fighter that would have given Floyd problems but I won't go as far as to say he would have beat Floyd.because in my opinion, its simply a fools game to bet against Floyd against any fighter. Best technical fighter in the history of the sport.
Actually many believe that Floyd lost to Castillo ....
and to say what you said is nonsense! He lost a fight to Duran and even then came back and won the next time.

Unlike Mayweather, SRL lost to a former lightweight. AND he's never been able to get out of the way of a straight right hand.
My Money's on Money.
Real hard to go against someone who's never lost. Period.

Ohh, you mean those 2 guys that fought in the U.S. a total of TWO times between them?
Ok.
I'm not into comparing eras. Floyd's 37 and still kicking people's asses, going on 18 years, and barely losing rounds.
If we were talking about anyone else, you might have a point.
Where this cat's concerned, I don't think you have much of one.
Real hard to go against a guy with numerous prime ATG and Hof caliber fighters on his resume...
Floyd has no one on his resume that is even remotely close to benetiz, duran, hearns, Aybule,
With that logic Calzaghe, and Ottke should be favored over everyone
You can;t teach everyone that 2+2=4
Floyd groupies have jumped the shark. They're on another level of crazy
