Scared of KOvalev?

At first I thought that Stevenson was bad ass. He KTFO's dudes and can box as well. He was a Kronk guy which creates respect in the boxing world as Manny Stewart was the best trainer in the history of boxing. After signing with Haymon, Stevenson is taking the easy route. He is the lineal LHW Champ but this move is clearly designed to duck KOvalev. He was offered over 2 million for that fight and verbally agreed to build each other up by taking "highlight material fights vs dudes who get KTFO'd on HBO" and then take that fight. He should beat Fonfara and then he will fight the winner of B-hop and Shamnov..okay good business decision as neither of the fighter's scares anyone and he will make $1.2- $ 1.5 million so I can see some of it. But alas... He is obviously scared of fighting KOvalev. It is "the" fight at LHW that everyone wants to see. #1 VS # 2. To truly be bad ass, you have to beat the best in your 10 lb. radius and the best that the sport has to offer.Right now that is KOvalev. Your thoughts? :boxing::boxing::boxing:

I don't believe Adonis is "scared" of Kovalev. It may very well be a diva-like way to feel, but boxers who have gone through the gauntlet don't want to jump in the ring with fighters who took a less dangerous road just because your saying "hey, I bet I can beat you".......Just like Ward had to fight top fighter after top fighter, why in the world would he have let Bute jump into a lucrative fight with himself after Bute sat on the sidelines, beating bums, while trying to get the top spot without fighting for it?? Adonis does need to recognize that this is his big fight he's waiting for. Kovalev is his boogyman, and just like Danny and Lucas, he will need this fight because Kovalev is the big fight he's chasing..Similar to the Lara-Nelo saga, ( little different cause Lara is champ, chasing the cash cow) he probably wants more lucrative fights against better names before his fight with Kovalev.. he's fighting fonfarra next. why does he want to jump in the ring with him? and for less money?

Agree with what you said. Many people defends Stevenson and said he did the right thing because he would get more money. HBO told that the reason they didn't give more money for stevenson vs fonfara was because stevenson didn't wanna commit to fight kovalev next in a unification match for a lot of money and the fight fans wanna see. CLEAR DUCK
