Why are guys like Sugar Rl, Duran, Hagler ranked higher than Floyd? All of them have loss in their record and very bad and simplistic style/technique(compared to todays) . Are we simply overrating the greats?.Specially when guys like Rios would give them a hard time.
No ATG will ever be beat by current fighters and the same will be said about Floyd 20 years from now
You dont have to wait 20 years. Even today you have posters believing Floyd beats Hagler.
history won't be kind to floyd.
Anyway off the top of my head I can think of three pretty good reasons why sugar is better they're called ... Hagler, Hearns and Duran.
Oh it will be. Just gotta wait

hahahahha lol keep telling yourself that, 20 years from now people will be sating the same things about Floyd they say now. He never fought anybody on purpose
If you say so. History will be very very kind to Floyd. And in 20 years no one of that era will be able to beat him just like they say about ATG now

All the greats have that fight where they should have lost but pulled it out. Ali had Foreman, Leonard had Hagler, Marquez had Manny... they all wanted those fights, the best available. That's the blemish with Floyd.

the first part of your opinion might make ppl think you're just trolling. but mentioning rios elevated you to a full-blown retard.

Do you rank Sven Ottke higher than Roy Jones?

Floyd never fought Duran, Hagler or Hearns. We could end it there.
And Ray wasn't no b.itch, he would sit in the middle of the ring and go to war with you. That's just the kicker.
Undefeated has little to do with it. It's what your eyes tell you if you know what you are looking at. Anybody who is knowledgeable about boxing can watch a few of Ray's best fights and a few of Floyd's best fights and then compare the two fighters to each other for speed, skill, stamina, gameness and toughness and all other assets that make a fighter good or great. If you have only seen one of the two fighters fight but not the other then you really aren't qualified to say who's the best. I saw both Ray and Floyd fight many times and I think in their primes they were about equally good. Mayweather had a much longer prime. Ray was great until about age 32 and went down hill fast after that. Mayweather is 37 and still seems as good as ever. Floyd was more consistent with a good fight every single time while Ray had a few fights were he was not at his best even in his prime.
Lol, A shot Duran(he was like 100 years old by the time they fought) and a weight drained Hearns ?
Duran wasn't shot - he was 29 years old; but it's true that he didn't have the power (the hands of stone) at welterweight that he had at lightweight.
Duran got the crown in the early 70s beating and cleared out the division. About 2 years before the SRL fight he moved up to welterweight fought some 6 fights before taking on SRL. Duran was not shot.
A weight drained Hearns!? Where did you get that from? Hearns was a career welterweight fighting at welterweight - there was no catchweight here. As far as I know Hearns never had trouble making weight. Just went to boxrec - Hearns weighed in at 145 - that's not a weight drained fighter.
Liking Floyd is one thing. Good for you. But pretending other fighters weren't as good as they were to make Floyd look better in your eyes is another.
