3 left when he's done with Maidana (I think he UD's Maidana, even though I'm rooting for Chino.)
Who will he fight before retiring? Khan is one? Who else. Let me hear what all the experts think.
Cut the BS he offered the same deal to Floyd and Manny at the same time and at the time both had only went to LMW once but you conviently only point out Floyd when offered Manny 150 and a rehydration limit. Just food for thought when you have never been in the same weightclass as somebody you can't duck them Sergio like everybody else in the 140-160 has called for a fight.
Sergio Martinez said after that that Manny was too small. Remember? Manny said it during training camp with Margarito that he would move down for good as WW was as high as he can go. Floyd on the other hand went up 3 times.
Go read the above post to tell you what I think about your excuse about only fighting once at 154.
Why do always fail to mention in 2010 after he beat Paul Williams and said he would like to fight Floyd; he had only fought at 154 once; and Cotto isn't even fighting him at a full 160 now I wonder do you think he is weight draining a old fighter.
What? Floyd fighting at 154 once was not enough?
How many times did Marquez fight at WW when he took on Floyd?
How many times did Ortiz fight at WW when he took on Floyd?
How many times did Guerrero fight at WW when he took on Floyd?
How many times did Hatton fight at WW when he took on Floyd?
How many times did Sharmba fight at WW when he took on Floyd?
How many times did Khan fight at WW when Floyd considered him?
Cotto is a terrible example? You have to be kidding me?
1) Go check out the recent photos of Martinez next to Cotto. Should I explain?
2) When Cotto lost to Trout, many here thought that 154 was too much for Cotto and IF he can, should go down to 147 if he wished to have better success.
Cotto is not a middleweight fighter.
You and other Floyd fans use excuses for Martinez. Martinez was never a big middle weight. He had the opportunities there so he took them but the point is that he was willing to go down. Not forced!

He did in early 2012, when he hadn't actually been to 154 in like 3 years. And Cotto is a terrible example, he started 2 weight classes higher then Floyd, and is naturally bigger. Cotto has gone up 3 weight classes, 4 by doing 160. Floyd's already gone up 4 weight classes at 147, 5 at 154.
Sergio is a Middleweight, has been since 2010. But you know....Floyd was ducking him.

Maybe you were not around but Martinez called out Floyd to fight him at 154 years ago. You know, where Floyd has fought 3 times now? Just to refresh your memory, Floyd fought at 154 before and after he was called out by Sergio Martinez. In fact, Sergio was ready to go lower to entice Floyd but he still said no.
So please don't bring up the excuse that you did!
BTW, look at Cotto. He moved up to 160. Yet Floyd couldn't do Martinez at 154.

It will be Khan in September then Garcia in May unless Cotto wins. Then it will be him. If Pac beats Bradley then Marquez in the 5th fight then I think theres a 50/50 chance that fight finally gets done after that May fight because by then Pac will have gotten his steam back.

depends on how the next couple months pan out. If Garcia loses his name is out the window, unlikely but possible. Same with Khan.
Khan, Canelo2, Pacquiao
Floyd ducked the Middleweight champion who hadn't been to 154 since like 2009....really???

If Khan fights Guerrero next, he's losing IMO.
Khan, even if he won his next fight against a good fighter at 147, he can't fight in September. His religion and everything. So the only time that possibly could happen is May 2015.
HBO you say? So what you are saying is, Floyd already ducked Martinez when he had the chance

how could they possibly say floyd cherry picks....his own fans make fantasy matchups where floyd will only fight if his opponent is compromised in some way.
I hoped someone would jump on that comment but its true...you took it the way you wanted to so it would fit your agenda. What i meant by what is said was, when was the last time Mayweather fought someone not coming off an impressive showing? Maidana, Canelo, Ortiz, Mosley were all coming off the biggest or one of the biggest wins of their careers. Hatton did as well.
If Cotto wins it will have to be a helluva performance or a complete robbery, Martinez can make mistakes and still win. If Martinez looks good or 70 % he has a solid shot to get the fight, if he looks bad winning or losing. Mayweather wont fight him.
They will say he was old and shot if Martinez doesnt win clear and/or impressively.
If Cotto beats Sergio then Floyd will immediately fight him for the lineal title.[/QUOTE I agree. Mayweather will jump on Cotto because he knows he can easily beat Cotto since he has already done so. So we will have a lineal middleweight champ who refused to fight the 154 pound champ Canelo at any weight over 152. What a damn joke that is. The best middleweight in the world is GGG and Martinez should have fought him years ago. So being the lineal champ does not make you the best fighter at that weight anymore. Not even close. What are the chances of the winner of a future Cotto-Mayweather fight for the lineal middleweight title giving GGG a title shot? ZERO.
I answered the question asked by the TS. Reed created a thread about how would you feel if floyd beat cotto at 160. Find it and you will see my answer.
The reason floyd wouldn't fight Sergio in Sept is that Sergio has 2 fights remianing on his HBO deal after the Cotto fight. If you say its ducking-so be it.
The reason I think he would fight Danny in Sept-Danny is going to ww, is a GBP fighter, Tim reswigned with TR and danny beat the guy floyd was going to fight (matts) had danny lost.
HBO you say? So what you are saying is, Floyd already ducked Martinez when he had the chance
depends who is willing to take a dive for millions of dollars. most golden boy fighters probably are.
dumbest thing ive read today and thats saying alot
kahn, garcia and somebody else
those 'somebody else options in order of most likely being:
cotto if he beats martinez
Canelo rematch (may seem unlikely given the last one and the fact that canelo may be moving up but if he keeps winning he'll still be the biggest fighter in golden boy's stable and probably the biggest money fight for floyd since the u know who fight is not very likely...)
porter/thurman (all pretty unlikely though porter could happen)
bradley if he beats pacquiao
highly unlikely but possible:
pac/martinez (if they are still around and on top)
