OK I feel like not enough people take advantage of this , AMC theaters (which pretty much everybody in america lives within shooting distance of) play a good number of Showtime PPV cards LIVE. Took me way too long to figure this one out, the tickets are usually between $15-$20, and they play all the Mayweather which is a good deal if you're just watching to see him lose. I went to see the Canelo fight saturday, really sweetens up a sh*t undercard when the fighters are 40 feet tall and the main event was like watching redhead king kong savage godzilla. Plus if you don't have alot of loud mexican and/or black friends to invite to your fight parties look no further.
On that topic, anybody know how they count the tickets in the PPV buys, seeing as they're not full price?
Cant bring your own food or drinks/booze and It's usually $20 around NYC, pretty expensive.
Also make sure its in a nice neighborhood, otherwise it will be a zoo
The idea is crap unless you're watching by yourself. You can't drink or do drugs. You have to settle for sh1tty overpriced theater food and drink.
If you're having people over to make an event of it. Just fork over the money for the PPV and let your boys bring the rest of the party.
My AMC has a bar and full fledged restaurant with waiters in it, so it wouldn't be too bad.
I never go because buy the time I buy the ticket, food, and booze I might as well buy the PPV at home.
Although in the past I used to sneak in a flask now and again so I guess I could take that route.
The sound was great, but I don't like to watch sports sober, or be confined to staying seated.
that doesnt stop me. Get drunk before and bring a bottle and just buy a cheap movie cup and pour it in there or say F it and just bring a cup also. I usually go with my girl so we pack her purse.......lol
She has snacks and I make her pack drinks for me
I like listening to the commentators and hear the corner give there fighters instructions. I can't stand being at a fight and music is playing people are dancing and eating, laughing, farting and talking all loud..I hate that sh1t..
PRPP :firedevil
i would watch all the crappy PPV in the theater, but sadly they only have showtime PPV.its nearly 20$ so if ur going by urself its a good price, but if you have a group just buy the PPV
are you sure they had the "surround sound" on? Ive been to theaters and they are the best experience next to a fight. However, Ive also went before with just the sound coming from the front speakers and it sucked. Its not the same at all. I think they thought because its boxing, they dont have to use the surround sound but thats b.s.

It sucks. I saw the Canelo/Perro fight in a theater, and it's pretty lame. And why do I want mexican and black friends who are loud in a theater? The place to watch a fight if you aren't there live is a bar, if not at home. They don't serve drinks at the theater and anything you do disturbs other viewers. It's ok if you have nothing else, but it's just not the ideal environment at all. Sitting through 4 fights without getting up to grab a drink was awful, and I walked in with a buzz with my girlfriend.

Sports Bars are much better than Movie Theaters when it comes to watching fights. http://www.tonightsgame.com/find-me-a-bar
Think about it, can't bring alcohol in a theater can you?
