Probably the most anticipated fight of the year.
Tickets went on sale today for the Froch vs Groves rematch and with in an hour all 60,000 of them were gone. Which other fight can match that. If they can get the go ahead from the authorities they are looking to get another 20,000, either way it will be the biggest boxing crowd in post war Britain and the biggest anywhere in the world for some time.
The first fight Groves the big underdog got under Froch's skin but he delivered on his trash talk, out jabbing Froch, meeting him in the centre of the ring and putting Froch down in round one, And then continued to catch Froch with massive punches throughout the fight.
Froch's moments of success were rare but in the 9th he had his best spell of the fight and landed some good blows on Groves. Groves was hurt but had his guard up chin down, and was firing back and was mobile when Howard Foster, the ref, step in and prematurely stopped a great fight.
The IBF agreed that the stoppage was wrong and ordered an immediate rematch.
So how does the second one go down? Froch claims he did not take Groves seriously enough and was mentally unprepared. Groves claims Froch cannot adapt and he cannot win.
Groves mind games seem to be working and Froch is getting wound up again as evident of the push he gave him in the presser.
Can Froch adapt?
Will Groves be better?
Who going to win the biggest fight of the year?
Poll Coming!!!!
Just in case you werent hyped before.
These youtube boxing video's are fooking amazing these days
wow. I had to change my soiled jimmies twice during that video.
No. I know he was. A few more clean shots and he was finished.
His team are great spin doctors. They are from the Hayemaker camp after all.
Do you know what being out on your feet means?
My taking on it is that you are semi conscious, not in control of your body but you're still standing.
Do you have the same or a different interpretation.
If so please tell me what it is.
So you still think Groves was out on his feet?
No. I know he was. A few more clean shots and he was finished.

So Groves wasn't hurt and stumbling forward with no legs?
No. He did that out of disgust, right?
Your claim was that he was out on his feet.
Back tracking now are we?
Seems you have a problem with reading.
So you think the IBF think it is OK for a fight to continue if a fighter is out on his feet and can't defend themselves.
You are the one that is deluded my friend.

The IBF disagreed with the stoppage which was clearly early but Groves was still out on his feet.
Oh wait, but you think he "threw himself around in disgust". :lol1:
Reality disagrees with you.

Out on his feet the IBF disagree with you.
Froch will be reckless, lose his cool and Groves will punish him and this time he will close the show.
Oh god, you really are delusional. :lol1:
Groves hit Froch with everything he had and he couldn't stop him.
Froch lands a couple of heavy shots and Groves was badly hurt when the ref stepped in early.
I just hope the first fight stoppage does not play against George Groves. There is no way the 2nd fight will be stopped early. For that reason, I hope Groves health is not put at risk by a foreign referee letting the fight go on for too long.
I call bull**** there. Before the knockdown even happened , groves caught froch with a right which buckled his legs slightly, then groves stalked him to the ropes, carl tried to fight away from them stepped in and got decked. Frochs legs were gone and his eyes were in the back of his head. He is very, very lucky that he was saved by the bell. Because I fully believe had that been early in the first froch would of got tkoed! Groves was never once wobbled

By "reverting to type", do you mean absorbing all of Groves' shots and then having Groves out on his feet after hitting him with several clean punches?

Froch can talk all he likes about being calm and boxing but we know when he is eating right hands and getting wound up by Groves he will revert to type.

I love how people still write off Carl Froch. A motivated Froch with something to prove will demolish ugly boy & give him the beating of his life. I'm willing to bet what little points i have on a Cobra KO.
Froch is gonna catch another beating, will take you up on you points bet as of the 31st May. You going?
That gif in your av is gorgeous
It was even better watching it live ;)
any idea when the remaining 20k tickets will go on sale?
im from the US and if i can get my hands on 1 of those tickets i will fly all the way there just to watch this fight live!!! :boxing:
Nothing official but Eddie Hearn said approx couple of weeks.
The tickets will go in minutes most likely so you will need to be quick and have luck on your side.
I will PM you if I hear an official time and date.
