Why is everybody praising canelo and saying he has revindicated himself after beating Angulo? Angulo is slow as hell, has no footwork and no technique at all. That is why they picked Angulo to fight him, and now everybody is acting like canelo beat an all time greatest in his prime! Come on people !!!! What the hell is going on? And before you acuse me of hating canelo, I admit I don't like him at all, I think he is a hyped average boxer and that's it, but i wouldn't say he is a nobody or the worst boxer ever I'm just stating my opinion. The ONLY chance Angulo had was his punching power. Am I the only one who thinks he was cherry picked? Please tell me what you all think. I want to make clear that I'm not discrediting Angulo, he is a fighter with a lot more heart than canelo, and he puts a lot of pressure, but his style is tailor made for canelo to beat, and also Angulo has seen better times than right now, I think 3 years ago he would have beaten canelo, thats why they decided to wait, and now used him to make canelo look good after the ass whooping Floyd gave him.
for real? first people talk about him canelo b/c he has faced smaller fighters and now people are still talking after beating the hardest hitting big 154 pounder. i don't get it :?!:
If someone saw Angulo for the first time yesterday, they would be saying "People were calling Angulo the hardest hitting big 154lbs? .... I don't get it?" :lol1:

Come on man.......there were plenty of posts not more than two days ago claiming that Angulo would stop Canelo. How things change so much in such a short time period I don't know but Canelo ain't a bum and the sooner people stop thinking he is, the sooner people can move on. Not saying you in particular, just people in general. He is gonna whoop up on Lara too so get ready for that letdown too if that fight gets made....just deal with it. :boxing:
Bottom line is, it was a solid win, against a not solid opponent. Come on bro, are you going to tell me the same Angulo that faced Lara was the one who faced Canelo? I'm not making excuses, it's clear canelo beat angulo's ass. All I'm saying is this win means nothing, except that Angulo should retire.
no he wasnt. He was coming on strong and it was a tough fight. Their are some fights where one guy can win just about every round and the fight be tough as hell. He was also throwing half ass punches because he was eating heavy metal from the first shot
angulo was eating lara's left hand all night...yes angulo put on a lot of pressure unlike in the canelo fight...but all that pressure lead to him getting tagged and countered almost every single time he got close..and eventually all that pressure lead to him getting that huge welt on his forehead which caused him to quit.......
plus lara had to face a more determined angulo (coming off some morale boosting wins) and if you noticed the ring was a lot smaller too...and he still made angulo quit...
why was he that? Was he shot against Lara or it just happened when Canelo fought him? You can only go by a guys recent performance and he wasnt shot against Lara. Canelo was also coming off a loss. Also, lets not act like the Lara KO was a normal KO. It just happened because one punch sent his head to massive abnormal swelling
canelo who is supposed to be a huge puncher wasn't able to do that to angulo who is now more susceptible to damage. kirkland was able to destroy angulo and lara was able to break his face but canelo the huge puncher hit angulo over and over with flush power shots and angulo was never hurt=power!
also for a guy in lara, who is said to be one of the most boring fighters, is probably one of the most if not the most talked about fighter on this forum right now and for awhile it seems
after every big fight whoever wins always gets **** on by the same posters, its like just give it a rest. yes we all know angulo isnt an elite opponent, thats been established since the day the fight got made. you're beating a dead horse with all this he wouldnt beat this guy and this guy. he just beat angulo and looked great, give him a little credit instead of repeating the same old same old. lara fight isnt happening, canelo doesnt want to fight him. what else is there to really say at this point
um yes they did. Also, I wouldnt say he was shot. Guys can be reinvented. Most thought that Hill had did some good work with him, kinda like Cotto looking reinvented again
Nobody gave Lara credit. The only thing they gave him credit for was for getting up and getting dropped twice, but the win itself was creditless.
And was Angulo reinvented? He's look like absolute **** in every fight since he's been with Hunter.
I'm not even a Canelo fan, but he's proven some of his doubters wrong the last year. With the exception of losing to the best fighter of his era, he beat the undefeated #1 JMW Austin Trout, and beat a Top 10 Angulo.
He's proven himself.
It was a good performance, but Angulo was an obviously shot unranked fighter coming off a knockout loss. What about it makes it a good win? It was a blatant cherry pick.
C'mon man......
He fought basically an even or really close to even fight Lara, dropped him twice, and only had the fight stopped because of abnormal swelling from one punch. Angulo hit Lara more then anyone ever has, and made him look as bad or vulnerable as Molina did, or close to it.
Angulo was a legit decent/solid win.
Canelo vs Lara should happen this year, but I doubt it does.
He's been shot since the Kirkland beating and whatever happened to him in ICE. Nobody gave Lara credit for Angulo.
um yes they did. Also, I wouldnt say he was shot. Guys can be reinvented. Most thought that Hill had did some good work with him, kinda like Cotto looking reinvented again
Canelo beat him down the whole fight basically though. And Angulo was seen as a very high probability to win the fight going in. He fought basically an even fight with Lara and dropped him twice.
This was a solid win by Canelo. He has 2 good wins IMO.
Trout was a real good win, Angulo was a solid/decent win.

You are calling Angulo a solid fighter, but last night he didn't look solid AT ALL, that is why I can't give him no credit. Where does the recognition comes from then? The only credit I can give him is for stepping into the ring and putting his integrity on the line.
what kinda logic is that? How do you know that he wasnt solid because Canelo made him look like that? Every dominant performance means the opponent wasnt a solid fighter?
aside from the two knockdowns angulo was getting completely outboxed by lara......only people who say angulo looked remotely good haven't watched the fight and go off what canelo fanboys/showtime/gbp have been saying to try and hype the fight........
and the angulo that fought lara >>>>>> the angulo that fought canelo
angulo wasn't throwing half ass punches and looking half asleep against lara like he did against canelo...

Totally agree! Why try to give him credit for a fight with a shot opponent?
no one should give him credit for that win...it was a mismatch and a joke from the very beginning...but now i guess beating angulo will line him up for another big undeserved payday against the cotto vs martinez winner...it's times like these where i hate boxing......
