Truthfull question here folks...
i must have missed all the hype surrounding him, but why exactly is it that nobody wants to fight him? I'm readin names like GGG, Canelo, this one, that one.... whats the deal here?
You call it opportunities and I call them "thrown to the lions", gbp wants Lara out of gingers way and that's why he is being fighting all those world class oponents, actually when the Lara-vanes fight went to auction they didn't bid so vanes promoters got to promote the fight, and that's why it was a "draw". vanes quit in that fight even before the doc check his injury he was saying he couldn't continue...
Call it what you will the point is he's getting opportunities to prove himself. At the end of the day it's up to him to perform and show how good he really is. You can keep selling the whole conspiracy theory that the whole boxing world is out to get him , but he's getting opportunities to fight on network TV against the best that most fighters can only dream of.
I think lately he's been doing a good job at promoting himself, he called ggg and it'll be hard for the winner of the losers bowl(canelo-perro)not to fight him.
Well Broner only lost one fight and still can be the future of the sport, according to people here if you are undefeated you fought no 1..but soon as you lose all the sudden you are a joke??
Broner lost several times before his 'first' loss, that is the huge difference.

He's had alot of big fights though!
You've named two guys right... and because of those two you're suggesting nobody wants to fight him??
Wow a bit blown out of proportion don't you think?
I highly doubt GGG would turn down the fight, its a very winnable fight for him but with Canelo I can definitely see why he might not want anything to do with him.
No English, not the best style to watch, not many fans, not much money involved.
He's not the boogeyman people make him out to be, he has had good fights and opportunities

Broner is not a joke. He is a good fighter who won titles at 130, 135 and 147. He never was the future of boxing and he will never be an elite fighter like Mayweather, Marquez or Pacquiao in my opinion. Berto looked promising but he just reach a peak early and never improved and now seems to be going down hill.
Slick southpaws with reach are a pain in the ass to fight and he hasn't generated enough interest among casual fans to be a risk worth taking. His talent is undeniable though, it's only a matter of time until he establishes himself as a PPV draw. I want to see him matched up against the winner of Canelo vs Angulo.
As a Cuban I love to see my fellow countrymen be successful but I am also realistic. Thats not gonna happen.

It's a marketing ploy to truly get his name out there. The guy is signed with Al Haymon he'll have no problem getting fights.
He's fought Williams, Molina, Trout, Angulo, and Vanes how does that equate to not get quality fights? He's received every opportunity to fight the best at 154 and prove he's above the competition ,and with the exception of the Trout fight he's failed to produce a truly dominant performance.
Obviously he wants the Canelo fight and he's starting to market his brand more aggressively to ensure he can get the fight.

We both might be right. Golden Boy sees it as "getting Lara out of the way," while Landy benefits from the match-ups.
I think you're right, Kev...and Landy has already gotten loads of opportunities for a guy with 22 professional bouts.
Wow.. that's a pretty big thing to say man!
To be honest i haven't seen any of his fights yet so first thing i'ma do is watch the Angulo fight, see whats up with him.
Yeah Floyd hits just as hard as Angulo!
Floyd will knock Lara down then out!

I think GBP is doing what they can. I don't think any promotional company will heavily invest in hyping Lara to the US public given his nationality, language barrier, and fighting style.
A Canelo fight would be ideal. I agree they are going to wait a while. Even when they finally do it you can bet it will be in Texas with open scoring, which will hurt Lara the way it did Trout.
Doing what they can? Like what? Like Dick coming out bashing Lara Arum style?
Its been Lara and his manager doing all the hyping. Zilch from GBP.

vanes molina and angulo want the rematch but he doesn't so its all bullvanes doesn't want $h1t he was on his way to get ktfo tha's why he quit and when the rematch was ordered he balk out, molina and Lara shared the same manager and they both wants to face each other but to cubas doesn't any sense now and el perro quit, but if he wins against ginger Lara will kick the crap out of him again...
He's probably the best at 154.
I would favor him to beat Floyd to be honest.

Simply, risk vs reward - not many fighters want to fight a very difficult fight if they really have to - especially if there is not much monetary gain (i.e., butts in seats and to an extent viewership). The more diehard fan would watch but it's really dependent upon the numbers of the masses.
UNtil Lara starts acting like a fool and draws more attention to himself and start popping off then he'd probably be more inticing (I'm being sarcastic).
Because he has similar style to Mayweather, Hopkins, Ward, Forrest, A. Dirrell but doesn't bring in big money or fanbase.
With that said, he's done very well for himself as far getting the best opponents possible.
Williams
Trout
Molina
Martirosyan
Angulo
And make no mistake about it, the guy is lined up to fight Canelo if he beats Angulo, Haymon will make sure of that.

Because they will lose
It is quite simple, non-commercial style and his defensive minded ways make for a difficult fight. Not a recognizable name in the public eye so it's a lose-lose situation for any top fighter.
Top fighters do not want to face runners without name.By now a lot of fans knows who Lara is, and his last two fights had being a pleasure to watch, then again haters are going to hate...
