Future P4P fighter, just entering his prime right now.
Aside of his amazing defensive skills I was most impressed with his mental composure. Every time he got hit he shrugged it off like it was nothing and responded with hard shots of his own, stayed composed in front of thousands of screaming fans, picked his shots extremely well, didn't complain about the sh*t ref, didn't panic at all.
Few guys have that toughness, this guy is cold blooded.
135 is not a deep division, but there are some universally bad style match-ups at this weight (Abril, Vasquez). It would mean a lot to have victories over those types of boxers.
As boring as these match-ups would probably turn out, I would still like to see them. Crawford is moving up to 140 so no chance of them happening.
He did a great job last night and might carve himself a niche in his hometown. Great atmosphere, talented fighters and a great fight.
Just won the title across seas, and just defended it amazingly in his hometown in front of 10,000+ fans..
Dude is gonna have crazy confidence in his next fight.
At 135 he will be pretty rough for any of those guys and he should be able to take care of business at 140. His defense makes me worry when talking bigger guys but he is tough and has a quality offense so you never know.
You look for a fighter and think "Is he the one" I remember thinking that with Broner before he faced Paulie and changed my mind. Crawford......is next up.
I knew that crowd wouldn't affect him. Every time he fights you could tell he has that Rigo type attitude... "f*ck the crowd Imma do me."

Lol , All of us boxing fans are greatful the he doesn't fight like RIgo:bottle:
Good fighter, have to see more nothing eye popping. Has to improve if he plans to stick around at the top a long time, im sure he'll makes those improvements with time though.
Solid skills but he hasn't proved anything as far as toughness is concerned. Toughness is fighting through while being down on the cards and stealing victory from defeat.
He was down on the cards the moment he signed to fight abroad.

I was impressed with Crawford the moment I heard he was going over there to challenge for the title. Seeing him fight was even better. He went in there to conquer and wasn't trying to be fancy or pretty about it. Dude just banged his way to a title. Looking forward to seeing him again.

Damn, you just ether'd him! :lol1:
Did he? Tim walked away a winner, should he win against Pac again, dude will be pushing the p4p#2 spot. Tim seems to be running schit in my opinion.
Really? I wasn't impressed at all. Looked like 2 C level fighters going at it to me. If anything, Crawford showed me he is susceptible to pressure fighters.
He barely got hit though lol, I mean there we literally a handful of power punches Burns landed, and when he did manage to land Crawford came back and had him on the ropes. Wasn't fazed by any of them, Crawford is an elite defensive fighter. The only punch that was somewhat consistent was his jab and that's it.
I'd love to see the punch stats, Burns landed almost nothing that fight while Crawford landed almost everything he threw.
Burns was missing a lot, definitely, but he was getting hit by at least two or three decent power shots every round.
Nah, good defensive fighters don't get hit. I didn't see anything great from Crawford tonight. I think Beltran beats him, easily too. Beltran gave Burns a beating. Crawford fought a guy who got his jaw broken in his last fight. I am sure we will get Beltran-Crawford next, at least I am hoping. Crawford is holding Beltran's belt, for now.

Nah, you open up too much and you will get punished. Beltran is a heavily offensive boxer who relies heavily on pressure an hooks. That is not the kind of style you want to have against Crawford, he will pick you to pieces. A jab is somewhat effective against him but that's seems to be it so far.
