Would y'all favor him over any of Floyd's last 3 opponents? Maybe over Guerrero but that would probably be a pick em fight but definitely not Canelo or Cotto. I know Floyd has slim pickings right now but it is hard to be excited for this fight when he is fighting a guy that is not better than the other 3 guys he beat and he basically shut Canelo and the Ghost out.
Well seeing as 2 of the 3 people you listed are super welter weights this questions is dumb.
As for the actual person on your list that is in Maidana's weight class, I think he beats Ghost. Personally I think his pressure and awkwardness present a lot of problems to Robert.

Canelo stops him. Guerrero would be a 50/50 fight. Guerrero has a good chin, and fights well on the inside. Maidana puts pressure, but not like a Margarito. He doesnt have the same stamina. Guerrero could possibly make it a dirty in fight and beat him. Against Cotto any version of Cotto stops him late. Cotto would outbox him when maidana tried to box. Maidana could score a knock down with a crazy right hand. Cotto would have the power to hurt Maidana also. And lets not forget maidana takes shots to the body almost like Khan takes shots to the chin.
I don't know Angel, Maidana will be bringing power and relentless pressure and will not let him breath; not Cotto's ideal match up.
It's true, he'd press MC and force to fight at a higher pace than he'd probably prefer, but you need an iron chin to bring the fight to Cotto and handle the return fire. Not many can and I don't Maidana is one of them.
cotto would destroy maidana. wtf are yall talking about. 2 different levels of fighters.
maidana is weak in the body. lopez almost put him down with a body shot. and we know what khan did to him. he can't handle cotto's power.
I'd pick Maidana over Guerrero in a close one, close to a 50/50 fight IMO. Canelo beats him, he's too big and Maidana is too easy to hit.
Cotto? COTTO?!!! KO's him in 8. He ravages El Chino's rib cage.

He beats the current version of Miguel Cotto and with Guerrero he will have to fight dirty to win.
As for the Canelo fight - size difference would be ridiculous.
Like I said in the other thread, amazing what a win over bum ass Broner will do for you. Lol

Well Canelo-Maidana is a silly fight IMO because of size so let's cross that out. And you might think Canelo is superior to Maidana but ask yourself this, who has the better resume and has faced better opposition before facing Floyd?
Oddly enough, I think Guerrero could beat him in a close one but I don't know about Miguel Cotto (faded version). Maidana presents a lot of stylistic problems for Cotto (power and relentless pressure) assuming it's at 147.
